  1. I have the 20 lb weight restriction for the first 4 weeks. Walking the first month, everyday. Then at the one month mark cardio at least 4 days/week. I'm ready to get back to my Power 90. Good Luck!
  2. Congrats! I'm doing ok...not a huge loss this week, but loss none the less. Gotta get to the gym to walk, walk, walk...
  3. I was right smack in the middle of my cycle for my surgery. I was however allowed a tampon for surgery. I didn't have any problems, but like the others have said, just check with your surgeon. Good Luck
  4. I had fresh blueberries and raspberries in my cottage this morning for breakfast.
  5. I am only 11 days out and I have twinges in my port area, but I have been gradually catching a few "zzzzzzz's" while sleeping on my side. I am not a back sleeper so I had to figure something out. As far as sex goes, my doc says 2 weeks.
  6. I am not allowed caffiene until a month out. So I'm COUNTING the days until then. 19 to be exact! I am soooooooooooooo needing my coffee
  7. That is GREAT news! Congrats!
  8. I take a gummy multivitamin 2X a day (morning, night) Sublingual B12 Biotin and in 3 weeks I will add: Calcium citrate 1000-1500mg/day
  9. Now that I'm back at work, I miss my naps.
  10. I have been back at work 2 days now. My surgery was 6/19. I have had no trouble whatsoever. I am an Administrative Assistant so I really don't have an intensive job...it gets hectic, but nothing too strenuous. Now...would I like to be home with my hubby? You betcha!
  11. Patch, what kind of Greek yogurt are you eating? I bought the Chobani because it was the highest in protein, but it is not my favorite.
  12. I have to say, I was banded June 19th and I didn't really have bad gas pains....of course I walked like a maniac. Only took pain meds for 3 days and on Friday, went to the movies with my neice. I can feel where my port is, but it's not painful. My incisions are itchy. My biggest problem is I am not getting all my Protein. I have tried and tried. I can't get through a shake, I add cottage cheese to all my Soups...but I get full before I get it all in. I will get it figured out, and I have some extra protein Clear liquids left from the first 2 days, so I am sipping that throughout the day. I do miss chewing, but this too shall pass. I have to make adjustments to my life if this is going to work, and that is just one of the things that must be adjusted. It's not a permanent thing. On day 15 I get to transition to soft foods (mushies). I'm so excited. I never, ever thought I'd be excited about tuna! LOL I am back at work today (on light duty for 3 more weeks). Hang in there Mom....it will get better.
  13. Renaissance Day begins now. I'm heading to the shower and will go to the hospital for 10am. See y'all on the other side. Good Luck to l the other bandsters having surgery today.
  14. My surgery is tomorrow, and I'm taking the rest of the week off. Have to fo FMLA leave for more than 3 days off. UGH, but I too sit at a desk all day. I'm hoping to be good to go on Monday. Did anybody have trouble driving?
  15. You are looking fantastic! Keep up the good work...it's paying off.
  16. Shawna, Me too. Only my surgery is at noon tomorrow. I'm so ready to be on the other side. Good Luck tomorrow!
  17. Hope everyone's proceedures went well today. I'm so ready for tomorrow to get here. Treehouse, I'm curious to know if you found out anything today from your mix-up. Please let us know what is happening. OH, and I absolutely plan to continue watching all my favorite shows on Food Network, especially Triple D! LOL
  18. I love cauliflower mashies! I'm excited to eat them when I get to my Mushies stage. I met with my nutritionist on Monday as part of my pre-op visit. She's AWESOME! We went through all the phases of my eating/recovery, and food sizes and all of that. She is always available to me via email (weekends and holidays) and then I can call if I really need her. I will see her on Tuesday when I go in for surgery on Tuesday. Good Luck on your journey.
  19. Glad you're doing well. See, I had the same thought about the Gas X. It's not THAT kind of gas. Let us know how your days progress.
  20. As far as I know my surgeon will "glue" me! But I also plan on wearing my stash of Maxi dresses for the first couple of weeks. I hope you feel better soon hun!
  21. Good Luck to today's bandsters! How is everyone else doing? Would love to hear some updates from our earlier June bandsters.
  22. I'm excited to try this. One of my co-workers has been trying to get me to go to her classes with her, but I have been reluctant, but told her I would. The next classes begin in August, since I will be 2 months post surgery, I am going to try it! Good Luck!
  23. I hope that you ladies can conquer the nerves. Honestly, I am so excited for Tuesday (Renaissance Day) I am not nervous at all. (Please don't think I'm bragging) I just want you to feel great about this decision. You have made a great choice for your life. It may have it's ups and downs, but you have made a choice to do something about your weight and that is a great start. I wil send you ladies good vibes to conquer the nerves.
  24. I'm not opposed to the training, but I can't be slow. Disney has a strict 16 minute mile pace requirement for all races and I can't do that yet. I'm not paying to race and getting swept. Congrats on the Tri! That's amazing!
