    Straws And The Like...

Just exhale before the initial suction and your good to go. If you're worried about swallowing, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you spit! I'm only 3 weeks out and as far as that went, It was fine and I just assumed like everyone is saying it added to my protein for the day! Haha. I love how everyone is so open on here. This is how I am in day to day life, not shy, outspoken, it's nice that people out there are the same!

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

Okay so I was a bad girl today. Very bad. I brought my family to a local amusement park, was drinking plenty of water, had a shake before we went, ready for the day. Then, I'm watching them eat, pizza, fried dough, dippin dots, hotdogs, fries, I wanted to almost cry. I caved. I bought a small cup of vanilla soft serve. Had 5 amazing bites. Was disappointed that I didn't feel sick, it was amazing. But I feel so guilty even doing it. Has anyone else been bad? Or did I really just screw up? I feel so weak, I need to be stronger.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I'm having a hard time with food, so far I've had a scrambled egg with a little cheese, tomato soup, and today went out and got a few different soups. I'm big into sf Popsicles, yogurt isn't fun for me, I've had sf pudding, but I mostly just do shakes because I'm nervous. My doc said to finely chop some eggs and some fat free mayo for egg salad, I may give it a go tomorrow. But everything just seems uncomfortable for me with food. I plan to try some tuna fish soon too.

    Feeding The Husband

I for some reason enjoy cooking for him even more. It's challenging, but seeing the food and not trying it, or even feeling hungry for it, is so rewarding to me. I usually cook for him every other night, since it's just him and our 1 year old. Lots of leftovers. I've just been doing simple things though, homemade mac n cheese, kielbasa, fajitas, simple is the best way!

    Anyone From New England?

I'm in NH!! Heyyyy!! I had my surgery sept 7th! 2 weeks today. I'm down 25 since surgery and 45 lbs total with my pre op diet. I'm pretty good now, little to very minimal pain, everything went smoothly for me. Best wishes! I just got back from a few days in Jamestown RI for some relaxation! It was beautiful!!

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

It's crazy to me to hear people talk abut eating all these foods so early out. I'm not here to judge, I mean I'd be lying by saying I haven't been tempted, but you guys, we're all. In the stages where leaks are still possible. By eating things your doctor has not okayed you too, it is extremely dangerous. Not to mention you're probably not losing the weight you could be. I am down 25 pounds since the 7th! 2 weeks!! A total of 45 pounds, I'm not trying to brag or call anyone out, but I'm truth if u follow everything correctly, you'll get better results. Good luck everyone, be safe and hold off on trying things you aren't supposed to be. Focus on your vitamins, protein and water!!!

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

Had my surgery sept 7th, I'm down a total of 44 lbs, 20 pre op, 24 post op. I've followed everything strictly and can't stress enough how important it is to get your vitamins, water, & protein in. When I don't get it all in, my body can tell. I'm a lot more tired and groggy without getting what my body needs daily. I've been walking alotl & chasing my 15 month old daughter all around. There ain't no rest for the wicked! Stay strong!
  18. Thanks Muffintop! I love the name! Mesee-- Good Luck! Everything happens for a reason! You're body is probablly ready now! Stay strong!! Jenn- I know! I can't imagine what in the hundreds will be like for me. It's been since literally i think Middle School. I've always been tall and my body has carried it well, so I will be interested to see. I can't wait!! Where abouts in NH were you from? I live in Exeter on the Seacoast, but just bought our first house in Fremont. We move in 3 weeks, wooop woooop! And I just got engaged, talk about crazy things happening in my lifeeeeee! <3 haha
  19. Thanks everyone . Im feeling very blessed. And how wonderful it feels to have that weight off my body. I can already feel the increase in energy, along with all my vitamins and ensuring I get all my protein and water in Daily, life is good!
  20. So I don't mean to brag, but I have not told a lot of people about my surgery so this is really the ONLY place I can! I woke up this morning and weighed myself.. I had surgery on Sept. 7th, 2012. And I am officially "UnderHUNDER!" I am less than 100 lbs from my Goal! It goes a little something like this:: June 2012 Started my Pre-Op Diet at 299lbs (ashamed to say!) Surgery Date- Sept 7th I was 279 lbs. Post Op 11 Days I am 255 LBS! My goal Weight is 160 LBS!! So between pre op and post op I am down 44lbs and 95lbs from goal! I have been melting away so quickly these past 11 days, So I know it's going to slow down. But knowing that I am only 15 lbs from my PRE-BABY wieght! I have a 15 month old and it has been so hard to get the weight off, I am so close I can feel it! Thanks everyone for the support and love! I can't wait to be in ONEDERLAND soon! Gahhhh! <3
  21. Jenn from Mass, you're funny! Must be the East Coast temper we share . Im originally from Newburyport Mass, so I got a little Mass in my veins! haha. It's wierd for me to read about the drains, I had my surgery the 7th, opted to stay a second night since I have a 15 month old at home (it was my mini vacation.. hahaha) and then my surgeon took the drain out before leaving Sunday Morning the 9th. i rested the first few days and then we took a trip to Rhode Island to visit some family, and I've been on the go, on the go! I am a stay at home Mom, so days are as restful as they could be, but I couldn't be happier getting to spend time with my Sweet Caroline. Luckily shes a good walker, or I shoould say RUNNER, I don;t need to pick her up too too much, only when she needs a Mommy hug and a nap in her crib. I change her on the floor and have her climb up in chairs. The doctor said since shes only 22 lbs, not to stress too much about lifting her, and it doesnt seem to hurt when I do. I am PROUD to announce this morning I have hit my UNDER-HUNDER!!!! I am now under a hundred pounds from my GOAL! I dont understand how the weight is just falling offf me so quickly! I have been walking quite a bit which I think is adding to my feeling fantastic! So I started at 299 in June with my pre op diet. The day of surgery I was 279 and this morning I am 256! AHHHH! My goal wieght is 160! im 96lbs away and have lost a total of 24lbs!! Woo Hoo Sleeve, make me skinny baby! Ive been following everything strictly, and today hopefully I will get the clear from pureed living!! Best Wishes All!! xx
