  2. Now that would awesome. i might work hard to get there too by Christmas. Starting monday. back to Protein shakes and Protein Snacks in b/t. oh and lets not forget the excercising. Yayyyy!!!!!

That is the boot camp I was talking about. I keep hearing people mention it. I will take a look so I am ready for Monday. I am grateful to have group that can relate to the struggle of having to lose so much. I am worried it won't work. Even though I have lost a good bit I have so far to go. I keep stalling. I lost 50 on the preop and 70 post op. my surgery date was 5/25. I feel like I lose one week a month and stall the the other three it is so weird.

  3. Happy early bday!!! Im starting over mon with u! I need to crack down to make my 100 by my bday :-) we need to keep on each other more! Wanna b my accountability partner? Since my husbands skinny ass does me no good!

  4. Anyone have any experiences with Dr Keith Kim at Celebration Hospital in the Orlando area? I do not have a date yet but I am close. Pulmonary is the last clearance I am waiting on. So hopefully in Sept. Any info is greatly appreciated!!

Hi I had surgery with Dr. Kim in May. He is on my opinion one of the best. so far i have not had any complications outside of Dehydration two weeks after surgery and that was my fault. If need any info or help let me know. I am more than happy to help.

  5. Hello ladies, hope everyone is well. I wanted to share that I have lost a little over 100 pounds ( 50 preop 53 post op) I am so proud of myself.

It took forever for me to get through the process of being approved and finding the right surgeon. There were so many times I just wanted to give up. To anyone who is discouraged, I say stay strong and have faith that it will happen, but when it is ur time.

I still have a long way to go, and the stalls are hard but It is SO worth. I feel so much better physically and mentally. This is just the beginning I had my surgery May 25. I am looking forward to what the future holds.

  6. You did move fast! That's awesome! My surgeon suggested 3 weeks but I only wanted to take 2. I needed 3. It took a few weeks for me to feel somewhat normal. I didn't have complications from my sleeve but other things going on. I had a right side pain that wouldn't wait' date=' an ovarian cyst that ruptured, and the mother of all periods start 1 week after surgery. I was like, really?! Why me? Plus, we have to do 3 weeks of liquids. I was just weak, tired, and dizzy. During the week I returned to work, I came straight home and got in my bed.

No, they never gave me a pre op diet. Girl, I had some serious food funerals! LOL! When I had my final pre op consult with Dr. Portenier the week before surgery, he told me to cut back and try to lose a little weight in those few days.

I have my 6 month post op group and follow up on Tuesday. I have a long way until goal but even now I feel like this is the best thing I've ever done! People who haven't seen me since before surgery look at me and their jaws drop. Some don't recognize me. I'm like, damn! Guess I was really that big! I want to lose at least another 100 lbs. It's harder than people say, but I couldn't have done this without my sleeve. Where do you live? I'm in Greensboro.

Hi ladies I have been mia for a minute trying get settled. So far things are going pretty good for me. Surgery was done 5/25, so far I have lost about 35 pounds post op. I was in a stall for a minute but I am slowly starting to move again. I have a talking scale, I cursed her out every day she told me my weight. ( yes i weigh Every day) As for recovery my dr originally gave me two weeks. I personally needed three. I had the sleeve and gallbladder removed at the same time. Week two I dehydrated so I had to be hospitalized again. I was just tried in the beginning. But other than that I was ok. As for preop diet, I was placed in a 21 day liquid preop. Girl, I mourned food! I can laugh now but it was serious. I had a falling on the casket old school funeral! ( don't judge me lol) but nothing taste as good as getting slim feels. I have lost a total 85 pounds so far including preop, but I still have a long way to go. I am still nervous about my hair I have noticed strands here and there. I don't know if I am paranoid or it it is coming out. I take 5000 mg of Biotin. We will see. I have prayed and released it. Worse case I will rock a ponytail and keep it moving.

  7. Hi I had my vsg and gallbladder removed on May 25. I have had no issues and I feel great. The surgery took longer of course about an extra hour. I went to the ER about a month before surgery for a gallbladder attack. I had no idea what going on. The pain was awful! The hospital wanted to remove it due to gallstones, but I had them contact my surgeon. I didn't want to be put under twice in a month. I maintained a very bland diet. Watch the seasonings you use and avoid diary, NO SPICY foods. I was fine for the month. I also took an antibotic to be safe. Good luck to you all!

  8. I meant to say measuring my pee and poop by weighing daily. I don't know what my phone did to that sentence.

Pinky, I lost big during my first month but REALLY slowed in months 2-3. But in months 4 and 5, I've done great! Just goes to show how this ride can be.

As for shaving, not me. I didn't see a need, even with needing a catheter. I never have with any surgery I've had.

I understood your post, my phone does the same thing. I am glad u posted about your loss. It helps to see u have been successful. I am trying not to have any expectations just take it a day at a time. That is easier said then done. I am just grateful that i have been blessed, no complications and I feel really good.

  9. Mzpecanbrown congrats on ur loss. U post was hiliarious. I weigh daily also. I think may be in a stall right now. I keep going up or down by a pound. I am three weeks out. The scale really hasn't moved all week. It is a little frustrating but I am reading that it is normal at this point.

Vsg chichi I guess that is up to you. You will have to take off all your clothes the day of surgery. During my surgery I was given a catheter. I don't remember it going in or them taking it out. ( Thank GOD)

  10. Hi

PLEASE drink your liquids! I was sleeved with gallbladder removal on 5/25. Sad to say i hospitalized again a week ago today for dehydration. It was horrible. I put myself on a schedule for Water. I have an app got my phone called waterlogged that really helps me keep track. The app is free. Both the doctors and nurses stressed get ur liquids in before protien. Anything counts sf Popsicles, crystal light, broth etc.. I know it is hard but it gets better. I like the unjury chocolate. I can handle it with milk. Best of luck to you. Drink up! :)

  11. Hi I am new here also. I have 200+ to lose. I had a dual surgery, sleeve and gallbladder on May 25. So far it everything has gone really well, with the exception of me being hospitalized for dehyration a few days ago. I can't stress the importance drinking your liquids enough! I can tolerate the liquids Water and milk. I would just forget because i was not hungry. I am doing pretty good. I lost 50 pounds preop and 24 since surgery. The amount I need lose seems so overwhelming. It is good to see that other have/are doing it helps to motivate me.
