New Transformation

i just got my 5th fill today on a 14 cc band, i'm currently at 7.8 cc's, the doctor told me that hopefully with this fill i would get to my green zone, i too was really hungry but afraid to overeat, i was eating a cup of food and she told me that for me it wasn't enough food so we'll see in a couple of days how i feel....

I was banded on 5/29/12 and i also have a 14cc band, I've had 3 fills now, I'm at 7cc's and i can say i feel a little restriction but i feel like i have a long way to go, i excercise 3x a week and eat what i'm suppose to but i dont seem to see the weight come off, i go back next week to see if i need another fill....

i have had 3 fills, i am now at 7cc in a 14cc band, i feel alittle restriction but i always get hungry after 3 to 3/12 hrs after i eat, i tried to drink water in between meals but its really hard. I go back on Tuesday so we'll see if i've lost any weight, 2 weeks ago i was at 6cc's and gained a pound, i feel that i might need maybe 1/2 cc to get to the green zone...i wonder sometimes if the band is still in place? Anyone else feels the same way?

Hi Sarie, i got banded on 5/29 and after being at home for 2 wks, i thought i was ready to go back to work... NOT! i was fine throughout the day but as soon as i got home i layed down just to kind of rest and of course 2 hours later i realized that i fell asleep! i guess my body needed, i did that for the first week i was back at work and felt that i needed it! listen to your body and rest! I feel much better now that i have also started on my solids, i feel like i have all of this energy so i take 1/2 hr walks just to burn it off.. It'll get better!

Don't feel bad i get my first fill on 7/12, i've only lost 12 lbs in the process, they tell me that i should start losing once i get that first fill and excercise regularly and "EAT THE RIGHT FOODS" which i'm sticking to so we'll see what happens after that....

HI Stella: how are you feeling? Well i did not get a fill, but i'm eating solids now! YAYYY! I will get my first fill in 2 wks, i'm a little nervous about it because they say that for 24 hours i'll be on liquids until i get use to the fill, i'm a wimp so if its anything thats gonna make me feel uncomfortable or sick it makes me nervous....Well i hope you're feeling well!

Hi Stella! I'm glad that you are doing much better! hey this is what this website is for to give each other support and encouragement! I'm probably 2 weeks ahead of you, i got banded on 5/29 and i can actually say i feel much, much better! i go for my 4 week pre-op appt on Monday and i'm a little nervous if i'll be getting a fill or not, i'm on mushies but let me tell you i get hungry every 2 hours and i have to eat or i'll get bad stomach cramps so we'll see what they say... Stay positive!

Do you eat regular food or do you have to go back to liquids?

hello ladies, At how many weeks did you get your first fill? and when you got the first fill do you continue eating normally or does it restrict you to go back to liquids for a few days? I go to my 4 week appt on Monday and i have no idea on what to expect, i've been doing the Mushy foods but i find that i am hungry every 2 hours and if i don't eat i get a really bad stomach ache!!! help!!

HI Stella: i also recently got banded on May 29, at first i also thought that i made the wrong choice but trust me it gets better, you just have to walk around because it does help alot and it helps you heal as well, i felt like i had a balloon in my stomach but after 3 weeks i am feeling 100% better, my incisions are a little sore but nothing that i can't handle, the meds did help with the feeling of being uncomfortable so do take it as needed. I returned to work this week and feel like i never had surgery with the exception of when i eat now, which is the mushy stage, i get full quickly. Now i can say that i am looking forward to excercise and begin this journey...Don't worry, It'll get better! I PROMISE! Good luck and just keep moving.

Hi Everyone: I am 8 days post op, i feel like a balloon inflated in my stomach, but i know that its just the way the band is making me feel, at the beginning i kept asking myself "what did i do" was it worth it, but as the days go by i am understanding the way my new stomach is giving me signs of hunger and signs of being full, its aggrevating at times but i understand that it'll take some time for my new stomach to heal and hopefully all of these new feelings will go away..hang in there it'll start getting better!
