  1. I have a few Protein items that I will give to anyone who lives near Mesquite, Texas. Since surgery, I have not been able to tolerate the taste of any of them an I hate to just throw them away if someone else could use them. I have: About half a canister of BariEssentials vanilla Bliss A practically full 24 oz package of Jay Robb protein supplement in strawberry 7 new bottles of GNC's RTD Total Lean in Strawberries & Cream Let me know if you are interested in any of them. Jana
  2. I got on the scale this morning and again...nothing. I'm afraid it threw me over the edge a bit as it's been two weeks since I've seen any weight OR inches come off (I'm almost three weeks post op). So basically, nothing since the liquids only starvation week and it was only 5 lbs then. I've been a bit of a basket case all day. It's so frustrating and I feel like I'm going to fail at this too.

  4. Thank you mamamckinzie and the other August 1st years for sharing your stories. I can't wait until a year from now when I can share my success with others beginning their journey!
  5. Yes, it would! It's always been my favorite hot cereal. Thank you!
  6. I was just wondering about Malt-o-Meal myself. Cream of Wheat is on my list of approved foods for weeks 4 and 5 so I wondered about MoM.
  7. Lucky you!! I just finished day one of my two weeks of liquids. Only 13 days to go.

  10. Thank you Cheri and GirlFriday. It sounds like that's one worry I can check off my list.
  11. I am two weeks out from surgery and am trying to get my ducks in a row. Will I be able to swallow the oval pink Prilosec pill after surgery or do I need to start trying to find a smaller pill. And if I need to, does anyone have suggestions for which one is easy to get down? Thanks in advance!
  12. It was all my doctor's office that did everything on my behalf. I kept asking if there was something that I could do to help and they said no, that they would take care of it all. They are obviously very good at this.
  13. Yes there is! Many people on the board told me to keep hope and not give up and they were right.
  14. Thank you Storm! I was hoping I could connect with others who will be having surgery at or about the same time as me. It will be great to have others to take the journey with.
  15. Three denials and one last grievence appeal I am finally approved and can really start my journey! Due to a very timely cancellation, I was given a surgery date of August 6th so the next three weeks will be fast and furious with all the pre-surgery testing. I'm so ecited to FINALLY be moving forward!
  16. Texarkolina, Is the surgery considered elective surgery? That's what I'm worried about with my employer is that it will be denied because of that.
