Alone?
I went alone. Not for fear of the horror stories you hear about bordertowns. But because I really thought once I got to Mexico everything was going to happen pretty fast, then I would be in the hospital for 2days & a hotel for 1 (closer to overnight) a companion wouldn't have any real opportunity to enjoy anything and I didn't really want to coop someone else up with me in the hospital. I made sure I had a good coordinator that would be there for me if needed and that was all I needed.

This could defiantly be taken a few different ways. I know if you ask me how I'm doing (unless the world was crashing in) you'd get a positive response pretty much every time. I have a pretty positive outlook on everything. If you ask my wife how I'm doing, she can recall every little problem I've had and what it took to heal it. She is very nurturing. So if you wanted to know if I could use any help or if I was ready to do a certain activity, you'd better ask her. Does this in any way sound like you? Is your husband the "note taker" and you the type that once the problem is over its time to forget about it? Of course there is the other obvious conclusion. But then you have to ask yourself, would your best friend really do that?- Tired?
Well, how much protien are you getting? That's a great place to start since it is our primary fuel now. Getting enough Water? I wouldn't say it's normal, but it's not uncommon. It is likely a dietary deficiency of some sort.- Burning Sensation
Great, PPI is proton pump inhibitor. Like Prilosec or Prevacid. They slow the production of stomach acid.- Adding Cheese
I don't get it.. So many people include potatoes in their post-op diet. Potatoes are a starch that quickly turn to sugar, and then fat. Why would a surgeon or NUT recommend this?- How Do I Ask My Insurance Company...
That's precisely what I would do, I'd ask them what their requirements are for skin removal surgery after weight loss. Chances are they will require it to be medically necessary, I.e. chaffing, rubbing, causing rash, or limiting your mobility.- Burning Sensation
Is it painful? I never had this, but I have read it before.- It Is Just So Hard To Believe..

- Stalled? Or Are All Bets Off?
Get off the scale. Weighing daily, every other day, or multiple times a day only adds stress to your life.I think we are all aware that stress slows weightloss. Pick one day a week and scale n that day, do it in the morning after you go to the restroom ( his is typically your lowest weight of the day). If you have a few days of no loss, chances are that they will straddle the week and all you will see is the your weight loss wasn't as dramatic as the week prior. I know it's not easy to walk by a scale and not use it, but, I took this advice frome someone else, and it's the best thing that I've done since surgery.- How Do You Deal With.....

SS, I think I would have to agree with your husband, the success you have realized simply doesn't happen without sacrifice. Maybe it didn't seem like a lot of work to you because you kept the goal in sight, rather than focusing on the day to day sacrifices you were making. But I bet you a dollar, if I were to have asked you 18 months ago how easy is this, you could have come up with several things you were sacrificing. Now, 20 months out you've become comfortable with your new way of life, and that is a good thing. All in all I can say that everything is going pretty smooth for me. But I still need to put effort into learning to prepare proper portions(I still throw away a lot of food). I frustrate my wife with "thank you for considering me, but, I just can't eat that" or the occasional "Holy $h!z that plate could feed me for 3days". I'm still in the learning curve on how to make a variety of foods that dont all taste like dried out chicken breast. I'm sure if you look back some of this will ring a bell. Give credit where it is due. You've come a long way.- Still In Stall.
It is a long stall, but by far not the longest I've read of. The longest I've seen on this forum was a 4 month stall, and yes, even that one ended. How are you doing on Water? Getting all you are supposed to be? I'm assuming that you are eating properly. Right? Getting enough protien? If you are doing what you are supposed to be doing, the you can be assured the stall will end.- Hey

- So The Hubby Likes An Ample Rear, What If I Lose It All?
I will say this from a mans point of view, I love a woman with a big @$$. But, shape trumps size any day of the week, I'd much rather my woman have a smaller butt that is firm & round than a big one that is out of shape. Don't get me wrong, a big, firm onion booty is a thing of beauty. But in reality, Beyonce & J-Lo are just unattainable.- Someone Pls Be My Saviour?!what Are The Best Protein Shakes Out There?

Yes, there are a few denials on here, the real question is what are your ins. co. requirements? Do you meet them? Most often denials are because of lower BMI (under 40) with no co morbidities. Or in many cases I've seen here WLS was specifically excluded- Was Your Staple Line Also Sutured?
