  2. O.o 40lbs in a months a slow loser? Don't say that too loud, there are plenty of people here that would have loved to have done that. Heck, I'm a guy and my 1st mont was 37lbs. As far as the pain, there are so many variables, What are you eating? Are you chewing thoroughly? What meds are you taking? Can you describe the pain? Also, you may already be aware of this, but, don't get in the habit of taking Tums(or any other Calcium based antacid). They are great for immediate temporary relief, but even though they neutralize acid right now, the way they do it sends signals to the body to produce more.
  3. Where is your current surgeon located & what is the surgery cost?
  4. I think this video explains it best.
  5. If your biggest problem is taste & convenience, I have a couple recommendations. Due to convenience I find myself using Premier Nutrition protien drinks. 11oz 1g sugar, 30g protien Taste wise I'm liking Chike Meal Replacements. These are a bit higher in calories, but you have to consider the fact that these are not protien drinks. They are high protien meal replacements. They contain a huge variety of Vitamins & minerals that are not in protien shakes. These are a powder, however they don't have that "Whey" smell and they don't foam up when mixing them.
  6. Are you experiencing any flatulence? If yes, then you're probably fine. If absolutely nothing is happening down there I'd seriously consider consulting your physician.
  7. Do you have to maintain the weightloss? If not, (I can't believe in saying this) water pills will definately drop a few lbs. it's not permanent by any means, but if you need to lose a few lbs in a pinch, they will do he trick.
  8. Many, I would venture to say most type II diabetics are immediately "cured" after receiving the sleeve. I'm betting that it is all about diet control. After the sleeve, you simply are not getting massive amounts of sugar.
  9. I have tried the Syntrax Nectar flavored mixes, and I like a few of them. It's just the unflavored I have no experience with.
  10. Notice that he first item listed is a soy protien. That means that there is more soy protien than anything else in his product. Keep in mind, soy has an incomplete amino acid structure. And soy has also been known to boost estrogen levels. As if we don't have enough estrogen in our system from all the fat being burned.
  11. http://www.amazon.com/Syntrax-Nectar-Medical-Unflavored-1-Pound/dp/B001I1NSUY I've never tried it so I wouldn't consider this a recommendation. But there it is.
  12. Also, another added benefit. Higher blood oxygen levels have proven to help in weight loss.
  13. On the surface it could seem that way. But when you think of what sleep apnea is, it really does make sense. Sleep apnea is when you stop breathing while you sleep, this causes the oxygen levels in your blood to dop to dangerously low levels, also startles you while you sleep, thus preventing you from falling into a deep REM cycle. The REM cycle is when your body is the most efficient at rejuvenating itself. So, say pre CPAP you never get to a REM cycle but with the CPAP your sleep quality is so improved that you can get 3-4 cycles in 5 hours you will actually feel more refreshed with less sleep.
  14. Great, now I won't sleep tonight.
  15. It's for treating hair loss
  16. There are definately doctors that will accept high BMI patients both in the US and Mexico. We have a more than a few members here that started where you are.
