My fathers wife had RNY and had a miserable recovery. I'm willing to bet she would "Go off" on any of her friends tha even mentioned wanting WLS. As far as your friend that told you to do your research on the web, is there a possibility that she didn't want to feel like she steamed your decision. Maybe she felt that she would feel responsible if something went wrong, and she had told you that she felt it wasa good idea. I might be wrong, but I believe people are basicly good, they don't want to see others get hurt, they also don't want to feel like they contributed to a friends pain.

Yes, mine was, I cant say for sure if all do this, but I don't know of any that don't.

SS, This is great. I'm still only about 2 months out so I haven't had the opportunity to experience the self image differential yet. What I can say is from your avi, you appear to be "model" thin. I look at at your collar bones, neck , & face and I can't even see that you were ever overweight. You've really come a long way and it shows. I only hope that I'm nearly as successful as you.

Men are typically attracted to younger women, and as they age are financially stable which makes them more appealing to a younger lady. With the divorce rate what it is, and men going after younger women, it's left a lot of older women without partners. Younger men(which are at their sexual peak)have become keen to the fact that women do not reach their sexual peak till there mid thirties. Therefore these young men aren't forced to play all the games a twenty something girl would require to get what they want. Middle aged single/divorced women have simply decided that to fulfill their urges it's easier to "train" a puppy than to pursue a mature man that is likely more interested in her daughter.

I believe what you are referring to here is converting the sleeve to DS or RNY. Though both of these are possible I don't believe we are anywhere near the point of taking that extreme of measures. I'm really thinking the best course of action here is to hit the reset button, start with the pouch test and then progress through the phases some renewed dedication is in order here.

2 things 1. For the amount of excercise you are doing 800cal is not near enough IMO 2. How often are you revamping your workouts? The body adapts and gets use to activities about every 5th-7th cycle, so to continue to get results from your workouts you should be redesigning them weekly or at least bi-weekly.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe for a minute that they are proud/happy about being morbidly obese. There is an old expression "Misery loves company". They may have a love affair with food, and may have become complacent in knowing that they are unhealthy. But none the less, I would tell them what your doing, they will likely scoff at you for making this decision, but this is your opportunity to show them that there is another option out there. Be the shining example that just may motivate them to improve their lives. Lead by example. They will be watching, whether they admit it or not.

Ha ha I was gonna say the "pouch test" has reported ly worked well. But while searching it I saw you recommending it to somebody else. So now I assume you are already well aware of this.

You n get peppermint oil at ant health food store. I have no idea where to find tea, that stuff is so illusive. Btw a drop of peppermint oil on the tongue is also gret for nausea
