  2. Hey!! I was panicked about the lengthy stalls as well. I went from 312, down to 280 in 6 weeks. I exercise like a mad woman and work 6 days a week!! I was being tough on myself. 32 lbs was a great amount of weight for that time. I finally promised myself I would only step on a scale at most 1/week. It's helped me emotionally. You will loose the weight!! At least you're skin will bounce back a little better with slower weight loss!! You are right on track. Just think about how far you have come in such a short time really . Wish you much success!!
  3. They sell shampoo to help with hair loss. Try that. Make sure u are taking a multivitamin as well. Are u taking enough biotin? See if increasing the dose is safe for you. I'm a month and a half out and I'm scared of hair loss as well. Just know...it grows back!!!
  4. I felt the same way. Lost 20lbs the first week and then not a thing for 2 weeks now. I even gained a few lbs. Research has told me stalls are completely normal. It's still hard to deal with though .
  5. Omg! The scale is not my friend. I started at 310lbs day of surgery 10/25, a week post op I was 295. Ok so 15 lbs sounds great. 1 week 4 days post op 288 lbs. I stalled...so I had to have my boyfriend hide the scale. It was so upsetting. Well today I had him give me the scale...I gained weight!!! 295 again!! What's the deal?? I hate to think I went through all this for a 20 lb weight loss

  7. Has anyone else had the strange feeling while switching positions that you're insides are moving. It so odd. It's under the incision site that the stomach was pulled out of. I can't help but feel its empty in there and when I move...especially for laying to standing my organs move too to fill the empty whole!!!

  13. I was such a nervous wreck these last few days do to the oct 25 surgery. I actually feel quite good . Pain is at a bare minimum and I didn't eve get gas pain. YEAH. Now I can stop being so nervous and continue with being excited. I am writing the from my hospital bed, and I'm starting to nod off
  14.    Ms skinniness reacted to a post in a topic: Sooo Nervous
  15. So today is the day before surgery. Oct 25th is the day I become the new me. I'm so nervous. I couldn't sleep well, today I'm on a bowel prep and strictly clears!! I don't know why I'm so nervous/scared. I'm so afraid of complications and of course the pain. I do not do well with the slightest bit of pain
  16. Thanks all for the advice. I guess I'm just used to eating so much more than this! It could be worse though. I can still have solids on my pre-op diet.
  17. Omg this pre-op diet is killing me. It's only day two of 14. I know that it's very important to stick to the pre-op diet to shrink you're liver. I'm just always hungry!! I keep forcing down protein but I'm still starving and I have no energy!! Any suggestions???
  18. I'm 5'9" and 312 lbs currently. Started at 324lbs which is also my highest weight. Surgery date oct 25th. This has been the longest summer of my life with all the pre-op requirements and meetings. Can't believe it's almost her though!! My goal is 180 lbs. I was an 11/12 in pants and med in shirts at that size and a size 10 shoe. I'm in a 2x shirt, 22/24 pants with a size 11 shoe currently.
  19. Just think of all the things you are going to be able to do after the weight loss .
  20. My pre-op diet starts on the 11th. I believe that's mostly liquids high in protein and a very low cal/carb diet. I see the surgeon again on oct 16th. I'm just so nervous. I never thought i would have to get surgery to maintain a healthy weight. But here I am!!! I have literally done everything only to struggle with the same 40 lbs. .
  21. So now I'm 5'9 and 312 lbs. started this process at 324 in may. I am going to be sleeved oct 25th. I am so afraid of the pain, that I do not handle well. I am so excited to meet the me that I used to know. The me that has been hidden over the last 10 years.!!!
  22. I'm a 29 year old female that has been battling obesity since 13. In high school to stay at a size 13/14 I had to starve myself and exercise 3 hours a day just to maintain. Needless to say what happened in college was stress and an I un diagnosed thyroid condition and soon I was struggling to stay in a size 18
  23. Yes I too agree. Bye bye lanebryant card. Hello Victoria secret card!!!
