It WILL get better! The first 2-3 days are the hardest but it gets easier and easier each day. Make sure you're drinking as many Protein shakes as your surgeon allows and plenty of Water or other fluids.

Good luck :)

I had to do 2 weeks worth of a liquid diet, in all honesty. the first 3 days are probably the worst, i was craving foods i never would eat on a normal basis.

Here is what i did:

My shakes were from my doctors office, but they are Bariatric Advantage shakes. I had 3-4 a day. In the middle of all that, I had chicken broth and vegetable broth, apple sauce, and Jello, apple juice and loads of crystal light and Water, eventually jello becomes quite filling.

I occasionally had sugar free, fat free pudding. To mix it up, i went and bought wonton Soup and had that without the wontons, just to change what I was eating....errr....drinking.

good luck, you can do it!!

I am on day 3 and things are deffinitly getting easier, but obviously is still a challenge! I am only allowed crystal light, 5 shakes and 1 cup of broth per day. I never thought id be so excited to get home from work and make a cup of broth lol. What has helped me is adding Mrs. Dash seasoning to the broth to give it different zings

Thanks all for the advice. I guess I'm just used to eating so much more than this! It could be worse though. I can still have solids on my pre-op diet.
