    Whats Wrong With Me?

I was told to expect an average of 2-3 pounds weight loss per week so you are about average in your loss so don't get discouraged. I would up the amount of calories and cut back on carbs. You don't want your body to think you are starving and you don't want to get accustom to such a low calorie intake that you can't sustain it over time. Eat more and exercise more. If you lose the weight too fast you risk medical issues and flabby skin…don’t worry about the scales how are you feeling and looking? Do you have more energy? Are your clothes looser?
  6. Thanks for the motivational push. I just loved your comment " It's been a challenge to get up each day and not be consumed by the RULES, but respecting them and not looking at them as BAD... but as parameters and boundaries that keep my Sleevina working optimally.... " I have just past the 1 month mark and yesterday was the first time I felt like I just wanted to skip the gym, eat what I wanted, and have my old life without counting grams of protein or ounces of water. I was strong and followed my plan and even did a little extra at the gym and then rewarded myself with time on the hydromassage table. As an added bonus I was rewarded by fitting into a size smaller pants this morning.
  7. Weight watchers smoked string cheese 50 calories 6 gms portien individually wrapped can be carried all day in your purse..for times when you are out longer than expected. Fiber one fudge brownie 90 calories 1 gm protien 5 gm fiber individually wrapped are also good becasue they feel like a treat and I find it hard to get enough fiber somedays

    Official: FitBit Thread

I love my fitbit, I got mine used on e-bay to save a little money. I wear it on my bra every day, it is the best motivation to keep walking to see if I can beat yesterdays number. The one problem is that when you walk stairs it doesn't count them if there is a rest or break. I have a split level house and if I climb the first 1/2 and then stop on the landing to grab the mail or let the dog out before continuing up the second half it doesn't count it as a flight of stairs. The fitbit is the first pedometer that I have had that doesn't fall off or look bulky under clothes

    May 22Nd

I had my sleeve on May 22 in Atlanta, didn't have time to think or get nervous, I finished the last of the testing on May 16th and had been on clear liquids for 3 days prior to the test so when a cancellation came available for the 22 they offered it to me and I took it rather than wait until the end of July the next opening. I had lost 20 pounds prior to surgery and have lost 18 since. Goal is to lose about 150 pounds or 1/2 my total body weight.

    July 4Th Challenge

I am in, this will be my first challenge. It is a great time to start; I am 3 weeks post op and will be going on vacation to visit out of state friends and family July 9 - 16. Since the weight is just falling off without much effort right now I don't want to set a weight loss goal but my 4 week goals are : 1) I joined a gym over the weekend so I need to go at least 3 times a week between now and July 4 work on toning 2) get the clothes that are to big out of the house before the trip 3) 8,000 - 10,000 steps EVERY day
