  1. I would try two things. Google melissa d'arabians black bean brownies. .. added Protein is always good and they are actually delicious!

Second the grocery store, usually by the organic or gluten free etc specialty items. Is No Pudge brownie mix. You just mix the box of powder with plain yogurt.... also very yummy!

  2. Thank you everyone! I wish I could take full credit and say I worked so hard. But in all honesty I don't eat eat enough Protein, or drink enough Water. I've also worked out like 4 times since surgery. I'm a terrible post surgery patient but I feel great... the sleeve is totally doing all the work for me! =) I'll be forever grateful for this life changing operation!

  3. If your upper lips are dry' date=' you dab a little gloss on them. If your lower lips are dry, you dab a little gloss on them. Simple.

Nooooooooooooo!!!! Don't send the kids away. You go away and have some raunchy, dirty hotel sex.[/quote']

You know its Raunchy when you think about it the next day and you make yourself blush lol

  4. My favorite part of the sleeve is the lack of sweating. I can now tolerate the south Florida heat. Never have the air in my car above low and my house stays at 75 degrees and I have to wear socks every night to sleep. I think it's more than just weightloss though. The part of your stomach that gets taken out has something to do with regulating body temperature. Either way.. definitely a plus side to surgery!

  5. I had this really bad. Unfortunately the only thing that helped we was slowing down when I was eating. That was I realize I'm full before it's too late.

If I get the feeling that I'm over full and I'm gonna produce the foam sometimes a sip or two of Water will help some of the good slide on through your stomach. However this does NOT work for me if my tummy is full of dense Protein. Since that can't "slide" through it makes it so much worse!

  6. My original username on here before I locked myself out and my username for everything else is DifferDaze ...my partner and I we are Diane and Jennifer hence Differ (which we use a lot!) And daze is self explanatory.

Now my name on here is boring, since I'm just Jennifer in south Florida, but when I had to re-create a name I thought this one would put me in touch with more locals.

  7. LOL!! That's hilarious. You're not the first person on here to think he was my boyfriend. Nah...I can't go with guys who are taller than 5'10; judging from the statue' date=' Morgan Freeman is like 6'5. I'm only 5'7 and I don't like feeling like a horny smurf.[/quote']

Omg, I'm almost 6'3" (i know, tall for a female) and my wife is about 5'8"... I wish me being taller had that effect on her. Oh the things I would do for her to BE a horny Smurf... Now that I think about it I guess I should say, oh the things I'd do to her if she WAS a horny Smurf. Either way, I'm sure you catch my drift =)

  8. Is everyone working out like 30 or 60 min a day 3 or 4 times a week ? Or does the weight just come off its self? I know that's a odd thing to ask iv not had my sleeve yet. I have had my acl trashed a few times so wondering coz moving around a lot till 20/30 lb drop off hurts " rather give birth again and my 3 kids were 9 9 1/2 each lol" so any info you guys could add would be so helpfully :). Bmi 40 5"6 254

I haven't started working out yet because I still have a lot of back pain. I am about 8 Weeks out and have lost over 50 pounds. So you will lose initially without working out, but then you'll hit a dreaded stall! Good luck with your sleeve!

  9. I am on the other coast of Florida near Tampa. Sleeve scheduled for 8/6. I start preop diet tomorrow. How soon did you guys get back to work after surgery- I know everyone is different. Just trying to get an estimate' date=' I am taking ten days off. Not sure if is enough time.[/quote']

Congrats on your date! That's right around the corner!! I feel like I could have went back to work pretty quickly and been fine, however I probably wouldn't have fallen asleep on my desk! I was soooooo tired for like the first three Weeks.

  10. Another newbie here! Sleeved on 7/17. Married to my wonderful wife since 2010 and she's now expecting our first baby (due in November). Very difficult to follow a liquid diet when your beloved is scarfing down Bagels in front of you. She's a hormonal nutcase and I'm cranky from hunger - we're quite the pair. So glad to find other LGBT folks here!

Congrats on your baby on the way!! My wife just did artificial insemination last week so I am hoping we have baby #2 in the oven =)

  11. I was having dizzy spells and was told to increase my carbs. I learned really fast that flour tortillas do NOT agree with my sleeve, I have no desire to try corn ones. Also I cannot stomach a scrambled egg but I can eat an egg sunny side up which is interesting. I also think I am post op lactose intolerant, I have tried cheese, yogurt and chocolate milk and all made me sick. I never had a problem with dairy before surgery and since I am only 6 Weeks out I am hoping it will subside.

Throwing up the foam has been the worst part for me, I try so hard to avoid vomiting but it is the only thing that relieves that pressure. I think an antacid would help but my doctor doesn't want to put me on anything unless I absolutely can't live without it.
