  1. Hi!! I was sleeved 10/17' date=' I feel pretty good and am down 22lbs so far! Still struggling to get all the Protein and Water down, but got a few things to try from the nutritionist, so today is a new day to do better. The one thing that surprised me is missing food so much! I didn't realized that part of my issues with food. The normalcy of chewing will be most welcomed! lol Thanks for the recipes, looking forward to trying those.[/quote']

You sound like a mirror image of me. Lol. I was sleeved on the 17th , and have a hard time balancing the protein an fluids. I feel like I'm in a stall. I have lost 22lbs. Since surgery as well, but have been that way since Sunday. :( I really need to figure out what to do to get this moving again.

  2. Had my surgery on 10/16. I came home last night. The worse thing for me so far is being so tired all the time. I'm trying to get all my liquids in but feel like I'm failing at that. My stomach keeps rumbling even if I'm not hungry. Is there something I can do to help with the rumbling?

I cam home yesterday afternoon. Sleeved 10/17. I have a lot of rumbling too. part the rumbling is all the excess air in your belly. Walk, walk, walk they told me. Well, my new best friend has been my hot Water bottle. Way better than a heating pad, because you have some pressure as well. I laid down with it, and the gas just kept creeping out all night. I'm glad I decided to use ir over a heating pad. As for hydration, everyone is different, but sf popsicles have been my best friend. Edy's are the best, but Walmart sells some for $2 that are real good. Decafe cold tea with lemon has been great too. Remember your belly is healing and cold does help relieve inflammation. As far as sleepy, I believe the narcotics were my issue. Now I just take liquid tylenol. BIG DIFFERENCE! I hate feeling loopy and groggy. Well, I hoped I. helped a little. Good luck to you!

  3. It's very frustrating and I'm so sad about your cheat. I work with a girl who had the same procedure and she told me to be like her... Every three days she went out and got a taco. I don't want to do that. We just new to keep pushing on. I have your back' date=' we can do this.[/quote']

Thanks. I have yours as well. I guess a cracker isn't so bad then. I just started packing my bag for tomorrow. I can't believe it's here. I am going to do this and do it right! Dammit I deserve to be healthy! 22 years of working in a hospital taking care of others, now it's my turn. Good luck to you!!! :)

  4. I'm freaking starving today. I am 6 days in to my liquid diet and I am having a hard time. Unfortunately I am cooking for the family and that makes it worse.

I'm with you there! I'm on day four of full liquid, and I'm dying!. I cheated today and ate 3 townhouse crackers. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it's the principle that I cheated. Hopefully these are words we will never use again. Oh to be hungry no more. Good luck to you!

  5. Hey guys! I'm doing so good! I was sleeved on oct.3 I would say the first 3 days are rough but today I actually went to the mall & went shopping for about 2 hours. Now my back was hurting pretty bad but my stomach doesn't. I even took a bath last night & tonight. Just Water right under my belly button but it felt so nice! Wasn't hard to get out either... There is no pain or discomfort in my stomach anymore. Protein is so hard getting in! Water isn't that bad. Any advice on Protein? Or things to eat?

Try the special k water. That has protein in it.

  6. Well, I have completed all my pre-op appts today. Now just waiting to have my education class in an hour. I can't believe how fast surgery is approaching. The 17th will be here real quick! Pre-op diet doesn't start til the 12th. It is all really starting to set in now. My nerves of steel are turning into string. Lol. Best wishes to all you October sleevers
