  1. Sorry to be personal, but how have your BM's been? I had the same type of pain, and found I was constipated. Pain was relieved after bm. Just a thought.
  2. I used a hot water bottle. The heat soothed the discomfort from surgery and the pressure of it helped the gas
  3. This link explains a lot. I don't want to lose my hair either, but at least it's temporary. http://www.slhn.org/docs/pdf/bariatric_surgery_and_hair_loss.designed.pdf
  4. I cam home yesterday afternoon. Sleeved 10/17. I have a lot of rumbling too. part the rumbling is all the excess air in your belly. Walk, walk, walk they told me. Well, my new best friend has been my hot water bottle. Way better than a heating pad, because you have some pressure as well. I laid down with it, and the gas just kept creeping out all night. I'm glad I decided to use ir over a heating pad. As for hydration, everyone is different, but sf popsicles have been my best friend. Edy's are the best, but walmart sells some for $2 that are real good. Decafe cold tea with lemon has been great too. Remember your belly is healing and cold does help relieve inflammation. As far as sleepy, I believe the narcotics were my issue. Now I just take liquid tylenol. BIG DIFFERENCE! I hate feeling loopy and groggy. Well, I hoped I. helped a little. Good luck to you!
  5. I am in my room! All went well, just real sleepy. Took my first walk!
  6. I'm right behind you! Good Luck and prayers to all my sleeve sisters today!
  7. Right back at ya! I go in at 11! See you on the losing side!
  8. I'm Wednesday as well. GOOD LUCK!
  9. I'm packing right now too. I have chapstick, cellphone charger, brush, toothbrush and paste, pillow, deodorant, panties, slipper socks, and picture of my husband and daughter.
  10. I'm with you there! I'm on day four of full liquid, and I'm dying!. I cheated today and ate 3 townhouse crackers. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it's the principle that I cheated. Hopefully these are words we will never use again. Oh to be hungry no more. Good luck to you!
  11. Well, Wednesday will be here before I know it. I have been on a liquid diet since Friday and just blew it. I ate 3 townhouse crackers! I am so mad at myself, but my stomach was rumbling terrible and I was feeling nauseas. I hope it didn't effect much. My nerves are really starting to get to me. Really looking forward to the mag citrate tomorrow. NOT! Good Luck to my fellow 10/17 sleevers.
  12. Try the special k water. That has protein in it.
  13. I can't believe how many "sleevers" there are this month! Good luck everyone. 2 weeks left! Dr. Gandhi Rochester General Hospital Rochester,NY
  14. I just went for my final pre op appt, and these words from the doc are stuck in my head. "IF YOU CHEAT DURING YOUR PRE-OP DIET, WE MAY HAVE TO OPEN YOU UP RATHER THAN DOING IT LAPAROSCOPIC." That is enough for me. You can do this. I hear the first two days are the hardest. Your in this for the long haul baby! GOOD LUCK!
  15. Well, I have completed all my pre-op appts today. Now just waiting to have my education class in an hour. I can't believe how fast surgery is approaching. The 17th will be here real quick! Pre-op diet doesn't start til the 12th. It is all really starting to set in now. My nerves of steel are turning into string. Lol. Best wishes to all you October sleevers

  18. Had an appointment with my surgeon today. They have rescheduled me for 10/17. A week earlier. I'LL TAKE IT!
  19. I wish that would happen for me. I am scheduled for the 24th. Seems so far away. I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow morning.
  20. I'm the day before you. I go in for my sleeve on the 24th of Oct. Good luck to you!
