Im about to have surgery tomorrow and hair loss was a big concern for me. I read on here that some people take Biotin supplements. So I have been taking Biotin 5,000 mcg cap once daily. I talk to my hairdresser and she said taking 10,000 mcg per day has been really helpful. Also Nioxin hair products are suppose to be really good, a little expensive though.

Pre-op Jitters! Surgery in 2 days! Keeping myself busy around the house. Love this site, so many people on here that have so much insight and info to share with everyone.

Surgery was cancelled. Had the worst thing happen two days prior to surgery, my father died unexpectantly from a heart attack. He was only 69 and very small and physically active and healthy. I felt like my heart broke in a milllion pieces. I'm not sure how long I should wait to reschedule. Right now having to take care of business. If you have to reschedule will insurance still cover since they already approved it?

So glad you posted about your experience it has really shed more insight on what to expect. I go in on June 13th for the sleeve. And I'm terrified. I keep trying to talk myself out of surgery. How did you cope with watching everyone else eat around you i.e. while cooking meals for the family etc.? -

Most Definitely! I started the pre-op diet May 30th day 4 was yesterday. Friends having cookout- and I totally went off the wagon and ate a burger , chips and queso. I also was talking myself out of surgery though. I kept rationalizing with myself that I should just go on lowcarb diet and exercise and I could lose the weight. I'm really nervous about having surgery. I felt lousy afterwards and couldnt sleep at all last night. I got up this morning with a renewed vow that I am going to have this surgery Im scheduled on the 13th June. So hang in there guy! -
im day 3 on pre-op diet and its been terribly rough, im starting to doubt having surgery. scared to death of the what ifs. my family has cried and pleaded with me to not have surgery. my husbsnd asked me last night if you can lose up to 25 lbs on a preop diet then why cant you just stick with it and lose all your weight? my goal is to lose 136 lbs.
