Congratulations to you! I think you have made it over the post op hump. I too was banded on the 27th, I am now on soft foods, carefully.... I too have lost wt. I sympathize with you about the gas pains. I had them right after surgery and they went away after 2 wks. Now I get them just once in a while like a twinge- i use it to remind me to be careful what I eat. Sounds like you are doing good. Let me know how your doing from time to time.

  6. thanks all! I will keep positive that a flu shot and my trusty bottle (of yet un-used ) Compazine will keep all safe and well. To all bandsters - thanks again.
  7. I am newly banded and don't get sick very often, but......now I am paranoid about the flu. What happens if I you know ........emmmm throw up?? Does it hurt? Does the band always slip?? Paranoid me thinks I am?
  8. Don't over pack.... i was a nurse on a barriatric floor. If you are only staying overnight, just bring essentials.....toiletries, fav pillow for ride home, and clothes that are comfy and easy to get in and out of. Most people "sleep it off" the night after surgery, then in am you have a "meal" if it stays down .....poof....discharge. That is, if you have only a band. Make sure things are cool at home.....so when you get home you can just veg for a day or so...... I remember one nice person brought 3 pieces of luggage....was discharged before she even opened them. that is just my opinion of what to bring.
  9. thanks everybody. I feel better tonight knowing i am in the "ballpark" It is just weird not feeling hungry and yet so few calories. I am sure that will change as the swelling goes down. thanks again
  10. I am post op x6 days. Still on the full liquid diet. I cannot seem to get very many calories in or am I just silly. I am averaging 40 to 60 on the protein. but with a calorie counter my numbers are like 800 for the day. I am supposed to have low cal juices and such, thin full liquids. Is this unusual?? Just asking. thanks
  11. I feel your pain bee blue......I am having the same problem. thanks for posting now i know what to do....immodium is on its way!
