I'm right there with all of y'all! I was sleeved May 15th have dropped 36 pounds, and not an ounce since July 1st!! This too shall pass... ~sigh~

I had the exact same thing happen to me! I was sleeved May 15th. I went to my PCP she was not concerned... she said it is not uncommon to develop fluid pockets in abdominal area after surgery. She put me on Bactrim DS for 10 days ( i think to just to pacify me). The drainage from my incision never had an odor, I never ran a fever. My incision drained for about two weeks.

Have you tried Isopure? I bought the large bottles of peach/mango it had 40 grams of protein in it. I also like the chocolate Premier protein shakes from Costco/Sams.

You're in good hands with Dr.Ponce and his crew!!! I was sleeved by him May 15th. Nocomplications (Thank you Jesus!) The nursing staff at INT are wonderful and the hospital is super clean! Praying for you and sending positive thoughts your way!!

Have you tried soups? This sounds gross and it looks gross but pea soup with unflavored unjury protein powder agrees with me. Mashed cottage cheese, Ricotta cheese, potted meat. I eat with a baby spoon so I don't take to big of a bite.

FIsh is about the only meat I can tolerate. Chicken and beef seem to just "sit" in my stomach for hours. I did boil an egg today and mashed it with ff mayo and was able to tolerate that. I am 4 weeks post-op.

How do you puree meats? Add water or mik before processing in food processor?

I didn't say orange juice. I am on unsweetended apple juice. Even the sugar free juice, and chicken broth give me diarrhea. Th eonly thing that doesn't send me ot the bathroom is chamomille tea

I was sleeved May 15th. E Just about every single time I take broth or juice I have a loud gurgling in my stomach and explosive diarrhaea. (tmi, i know sorry). I am thinking if this is how life is going to be for me then maybe I shouldn't have done this... I hope in time this unpleasant side effect will go away.

No, I just talked to Laurie last night, AND when I was in Tijuana she was talking to a prospective client on the phone and she quoted them the price I have listed above. Give her a call and leave a message. It might take her a day or so to return your call when she called to check on my progress last night she was still in Mexico and then was going to do something with her family for a couple of days ( i think thats what she said) Anyway she just said she would be out of pocket for a couple of days. P.S. Laurie is much cheaper than the other coordinators. It is 4,500.00 for surgery with Dr. Ponce versus 5,000.00- 6,0000 that is charged by others . Laurie has worked with Dr. Ponce for 7 years and has a good rapport with him and his staf of surgeons!

I just got back from Tijuana last night. I was sleeved by Dr. Ponce on May 15th. My coordinator and a driver met me at the airport and took me straight to the hospital. The staff at INT hospital was very efficient and kind. I am a nurse , and I can tell you, you will not get the nurse patient /ratio in the U.S. as I had in Tijuana. The floors are small (only 10 rooms ) on the third floor and there were 3 nurses on duty during the night. They administered pain meds, IV antibiotics and nausea meds without me asking for them. I am a diabetic and the nurses were in my room every hour post op monitoring my blood sugar and administering insulin. ( it is not uncommon for diabetics to have high sugars after illness, stress or trauma to the body). The hospital is very very clean, the OR was immaculate! On Thursday I was discharged to the Hotel Lucerna, My coordiantor Laurie and Dr. Ponce's OR nurse Randy drove me personally to the hotel escorted me in and took me to my room! Laurie , even arranged for a plastic surgeon to consult with me in my room for anticipated surgery in a year. ( a mommy makeover). I left Friday morning back to San Diego. My driver picked me up promptly at 10 a.m. There were 3 of us returning to the U.S. The wait at the border was only 10 min as our driver had a medical lane pass. I never saw anything suspicious or unsafe. The worst part of my trip was waiting 3 hours at the airport to catch my flight back to Dallas. I have only good things to say about my experience in Tijuana. I am home recuperating... sore, yes! Gassy yes but all in all doing well!

I just spoke with someone from Belite and now they are requiring 3,500.00 down for in house financing. I haven't filled out the in house application yet. I am working a part time job 2 nights a week @ this rate it is going to take me forever to come up with 3,500.00!
