  1. So this Monday will be 4 weeks since my surgery and I still can't get in all my fluids and no protein shake or food. Having hard time. Food makes me sick. Is this normal?
  2. So 3 weeks ago I has the band to sleeve revision and so far I'm ok. The only problem I'm having is getting all my liquids down or drinking or eating any protein. I feel so full once I drink like 3 sips of my shake and that's all I can get down for the rest of the day. My dr said don't worry but I'm weak and can't even exercise because I have no food in my system. Has this happened to anyone else?

    5 Days Out

Thank you! I make it with water so it's has thin as possible. It's just hard to drink it all.
  4. So I'm 5 days out and I can't drink my whole protein shake. I drink maybe 2 ounces every 5 hours 2 or sometimes 3 xs a day. I also was advised to drink 64 oz of water a day and I sip and sip but at the most maybe I get 18 oz a day in. As anyone had any trouble with this? I also get hunger pain but once I take my pain medicine it goes away. Is it just acid indegestion or is it actual hunger? I must say my family went to mcdonalds today and ate in front of me and I felt nooooo temptations. Plus the movie theater. Popcorn and soda everywhere and I sipped on my water. Feel very proud of myself!

    Surgery!

    Surgery is 9 hours away!!!!
  6. So Monday the 17th is my surgery and I'm really nervous. I did horrible on my Pre op diet and I'm nervous that things could go wrong. I had the band last year and everything went smooth but this is a little more serious. Has anyone had an complications during surgery after not following their Pre op diet?
  7. Im drinking the orange cream from Bariatric Advantage. It's ok for awhile after I add ice but then it's so gross after 5 drinks. Then I get light headed from not eating and water don't help since I have the band in me right now
  8. True! It's hard though.
  9. So I started my pre-op diet of protein shakes Monday and everyday I have cheated! I'm trying so hard to keep in mind that this is for my best interest but it's gross! Any ideas how to make this pre-op diet any better?
  10. Got my surgery date!! September 17th!!
  11. I can't wait!! I hated the band. Throwing up everytime i ate was not what i expected. I guess my band slipped up instead of down so i was filled to the max and still no help from it. I really hope the sleeve will help me so i can continue my journey in the right path.
  12. Hi everyone! So I'm 25 and had the lap band in Feb 2011. Had the worse time with it. DONT GET THE BAND!! It's not worth it. Dr put in auth tuesday for the revision surgury. Hope to find out soon when I'll be getting my surgury. So happy and excited.

    Confused!

Hi everyone: Im new to this site. I had lap band surgury 2/14/2011 and have had nothing but problems. First 6 months lost a good amount of weight, but I was also on phentermine as well. I throw up all the time, always hungry, and can't seem to find my green zone. Im thinking of having a revision to the sleeve, but not sure if the sleeve will be all that great either. I also think I'm 50% to blame since I dont exercise anymore nor do I eat all my Protein. I just can't stand the throwing up or hunger pain when I do eat right. I could really use some advice. Is the sleeve a better choice than the band?
