  1. No don't worry. We all have a stall our bodies are balancing out a bit and we will start losing weight again. I'm 11 days out and have lost weight in 3 days either.
  2. I think u was a terrible tipper. I tipped my drivers 5 dollars each way as well as my maid who cleaned my room one day
  3. Good idea! I have my measurement from before surgery. I think I will take them each month.
  4. So my post op instruction were to wash my incision with soap and water and cover if oozing or moist. WTH? I have 3 incision (one a drain hole). Two of my incisions were sutured shut. My drain hole was left open to heal from the inside out. I feel kind of weird not covering it with a bandaid or gauze yet the other two incisions actually started healing better once I took off the bandaids. Anybody have this problem or am I the only one skeeved out by my drain hole?
  5. Yay! I didn't cover my drain hole today. It looks like a small puncture hole and is healing from the inside out.
  6. OMGolly! Aspirin Evangelist....you are like the shrinky dink woman
  7. I was sleeved on 6/25. I lost 10 pounds pre op. I have no idea how much I gained in fluids in the hospital but I have lost 8 pounds post op. my doctor gave me a week of clears. A week of full liquid ( which I'm on now), week 3 is puréed, week 4 is mushies, week 5 is soft and week six is gradually introducing regular food. Today I broke down and had 7 small watermelon balls. I squished them to liquid in my mouth and chewed the mush to liquid. Do you all think that is considered full liquid? It was wonderful

    Dr. Alejandro Lopez

What is the Spider Method? I had surgery with Dr Garcia on 6/25 and am doing well, 8 lbs since surgery 18 total since pre-op.
  9. Looking Aheadyou aren't whiny over your pain I thank God or the support of our sleeve sisters and brothers on this site because we can share what we are going through and maybe get some advice or support. With that said, maybe you have walked a little too much or have been too active. Who knows. I know today I walked around to the movies and visited a nursery looking at roses and now one of my incisions is burning from the inside. Just rest and take care of yourself. Take pain Meds if you are still on them and keep us posted. Take care.
  10. Ok sorry to be so blunt on a delicate topic. I am 4days post op and have diarrhea with everything, broth, juice, Popsicles, chicken protein broth. Ha anyone else experienced this? How long does it last?

    Soup

I stat my full liquid tomorrow. I was excited to find flavored instant grits at the store. Weird what makes you happy now huh?
  12. I was exhausted from the hospital because I dd t sleep well in their bed. I slept and rested when I came home. I had very little energy. I am post op 6 days and today is better than yesterday. No pain, can sip my unjury chicken /protein broth and even shopped a little at Target. That said I still listen to my body. Came home and rested after my shirt trip. Rest up, get your fluids in and you will start feeling better. I promise )

    Tattoos And Post Op

I had been thinking about a tatoo as well. When I had my tummy tuck a few years back, I had a vine and flowers with butterflies tatooed over the scar. I was looking at my incisions and drain scar that will be forming and thought of adding more butterflies and flowers. Nothing like a little body art.

Is It Harder After 40 For This Surgery?

Sorry you are feeling so bad. I think it varies with everyone and their doctor. I'm 44 and was sleeved 5 days ago. My drain was removed two days later. I walked alot so maybe that helped. I hope you feel better soon and get that drain out. I know when I had previous abdominal surgery I had a drain in for a week and I swear it made me hurt worse.

    Will I Ever Feel Hungry?

I haven't been sleeved very long but it is weird for me to when I have no appetite. My hubby is worried about cooking around me and I'm like, cook all you want. It doesn't appeal to me. Yesterday I didn't have any protein broth until night and had the worst low blood sugar headache before I went to bed. I had to take some Tylenol.

    Rant Post-Op Issues

I agree with Dorrie. I would go back to some shakes that you can make yummy with some Torani syrup, perhaps a little bit of fruit and yogurt and blend really well with some ice in it to make your shake not so boring. I would try a protein powder that isn't low carb to see if that helps. I hope you feel better soon.

    Post Op......diarrhea

Thank you. I was worried I had Montezuma's revenge after having my surgery in Mexico.

    Any June Sleevers?

Littlebits you are such a cutie.
  19. I know we are not supposed to have caffeine such as a cup of coffee. What about a cup of orange and cinnamon flavored black tea 3 days post op?

    :(

    God bless you.
  21. I paid 5000 with Dr Garcia through Obesity Solutions International.
  22. So I have been in Mexico since Monday and am 3 days post op. I feel great and was walking around the Walmart today to buy some essentials. The funny thing that I experience is in the hotel Marriot. I needed some tampax and pads. I went to the gift shop and they sell the pad individually wrapped. I declined and bought the whole bag of 14 for 17.50! I was desperate. That was why I went to Walmart, I need tampons. I went back to the gift shop to buy Tylenol for the headache I have had for 2 days. I bought 2 pills from the bottle for 2.80 If you are preparing to have surgery in Mexico and are staying at the Marriot, be prepared. Other than that, they have great service, speak English and have super comfy beds with lots of soft pillows.
  23. M just so frustrated and needed to hear from someone if they have experienced it. My surgery is 6/25 with Dr Garcia in TJ. I have not told anyone except my spouse. My work thinks I'm having GYN surgery. Today I told my best fried who was horrified. She is about 5'5 and 300 lbs. I thought she would be supportive but all she could say was how losing weight won't make me happy and it isn't safe to have surgery in Mexico where I could die. She thinks TJ is a @hithole. Mg hubby was watching cooking channels today while my tummy was grumbling on my shakes and broth. Totally clueless. U don't expect him to support me either when I get home because he wasn't there to take care of me through two c sections, spinal surgery or our child in the hospital. I guess what I'm asking is how do other people deal with this nonsense?
