I use one called C25K I'm on week 3 and I like it. Can play your own music and it has the prompts that break in to tell you when to run and when to walk.

I asked my doctor to remove my gallbladder at the same time as he placed the lap band and he wouldn't because he said there is too much risk for infection to do them both at the same time.

I wish there was a support group in my area

I was very nervous about mine as well but I don't even really feel it and my doctor doesn't use anything to numb me first either. He has me do a crunch to help him find my port then he puts the needle in does the fill and pulls it out. Then I sit up and have to drink a small cup of water before I can leave.

I have only heard of one other person getting this. I ended up with a clot in my leg after my lap band surgery but I also then found out I have a blood clotting disorder. I would definitely still prefer the anticoagulants

I only have 1cc in my band and I had my surgery in may 2012 and its a good restriction for me. I also had the plication with mine. I've been steadily losing about 10 pounds a month.

I had mine removed the end of October and for me gallbladder surgery recovery was way easier than lap band recovery. I had a lot of port pain and horrible nausea after my band surgery though.

My doctor will come in on the weekend for emergencies like that. A lot of ER do not know how to take fluid out the proper way.

I was told to get around 800 calories a day as well and have been losing weight very regularly so far. It just depends on the person really.

My doctor told me to take the flinstones kids vitamins. They come either in chewable or gummies.

I actually found my gallbladder surgery to be easier than lap band as far as recovery but I had a hard recovery after lap band. I was back at work pain free a week after my gallbladder removal and I even had my appendix removed at the same time.

Mine has never made a noise. I've been banded since may 2012

I just had my gallbladder out 2 weeks ago because of gallstones. My symptoms were severe pain in the middle of my chest and radiating into my back. Nothing made it better or worse for me.

I guess I got lucky as far as the gas pain only felt it a few times in my shoulder. To me the worst part was the pain where the port was sewn into the muscle. Every time I used that muscle it was awful pain. For me the liquid lortab worked well for the pain until I decided to sit up or down in bed then it was awful. It did get better though. After a few days I was still sore but I was well enough to go visit my dad at his boat on the lake.

I had lap band with plication and I would do it again in a heart beat. I've lost 66 pounds since may 24, 2012. I've had no complications with it.

I've lost 67 pounds since the day of surgery may 24, 2012. I haven't done anything special except I don't eat any bread or pasta at all. I make sure to get my protein in and I take a multivitamin everyday. I have a fairly active job I don't sit behind a desk all day.

My surgeon wanted me to take milk of mag after surgery. I did and I can tell u I wasn't constipated. Although I wasn't straining there was the problem of not being able to stop.

Sometimes my husband goes with me just to go but it's not because I need him there. It's not bad at all to me and my surgeon doesn't even numb me first.

I had to do 2 weeks of liquids then 2 weeks mushy then regular food post op

I was really nauseous and in quite a bit of pain for the first 4 to 5 days. The risk of clots is real because I ended up with one.

Is the "I band" just another name for lap band with plication? I have never heard of the Iband but it sounds like my lap band with plication maybe?

Yep I had it in may and very happy I did.

Im doing great and soooo glad I got the band with plication. I think it has helped me a lot. I get compliments everyday about my weight loss. I have lost 48 pounds since surgery may 24, 2012 and 84 since beginning of the year in January :-). I'm only 9 pounds from being below 200!!! I can't wait!!

I agree with elcee as that Is how my doctor described what he did to me.
