angelakay2 replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take Paxil time release and my surgeon said it was ok to hae immediately after surgery since they are tiny. I was also told that its dangerous to crush a time release. Good luck!! -

I Am 12 Hours Post Op
angelakay2 replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The gas was the worst! Walk, walk, walk! Believe it or not it helps!! -
I have my first post-op tomorrow and I can't even begin to tell you how freakin' excited I am to get the painful, disgusting drain out!!! I have been on clear liquids this whole time and hoping like hell that he progresses me to pureed. Has anyone else skipped the full liquid? I feel ready to try but I won't cuz I am a goody goody who does what I am told to do!

I am from Houston but didn't try that one either.

So Can We Or Can We Not...
angelakay2 replied to Nate's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was pretty much told none after surgery. My doc even went as far as to tell me to find a new alcoholic beverage because I was a bud light kind of girl. However, his nurse (who has been sleeved and is tiny) always has a Sonic drink of soda with her so I thinkit's more or less how tolerable it is to each individual. -
Irritabilty And Energy
angelakay2 replied to TheNewSusie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was extremely irritable and weak for about 5-7 days on my post op. I was on 2 weeks liquid pre-op. I found that Muscle Milk was my best option for days that I had things to do and couldn't stay in bed all day. You have an extra hurdle of working in a restaurant in which you have to smell foor for 12 hours but it does get better!! -
I Cant Do This
angelakay2 replied to newgrandmother's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on liquid for 2 weeks pre-op and clear liquids now day 11 post op. Jello!!!! Jello tricked my brain into thinking I was eating and helped me significantly! My first week of pre-op was horrible and I dared people to cross me!! lol -
I'm feeling a teeny better today and I will take that!! i am so ready for this disgusting, painful, bulky drain to be out but that won't be until Monday. Now that I have given my obligatory "health update" I can move on. My phone came up missing while I was in the hospital. I know it was on the table that goes across the bed. A nurse came in to change my linens and then it was gone! I am not in any way insinuating that it was stolen. It could have been picked up with my tray. Wherever it was the person who looked at my pics had no clue they would want to turn back time and never look. I took a pic of myself with the phone. A "before". Aka...not a perty one! i stood in front of the mirror completely nekkid! Yep, over 300lbs of crazy white lady staring back at ya! No sports bra, no bikini, no Adam and Eve style leaves...just flesh..and a lot of it!! Bwahahaha....I'll bet that person wishes they had not seen that!

Gorgeous!! Keep up the good work!! -
I agree with everyone and you should be thankful it's 17lbs you lost instead of gained!! Congrats!
-
I feel silly asking but what is "onederland"?
-
That would be huge for me! I always hated seeing the silhouette of the fat person on my cuff!! Congrats!!!!

Amy, I have that problem with my drain site. I have found that a small pillow (my baby girl made me one) works wonders for like resting your elbows while you sit. It kind of keeps a little pressure on it.
