All this time I kept wondering what PB means I see it on many post I hope I don't get it it really sounds gross

I will have met my total out of cost expense for the year so Anthem will pay 100% until Jan 2013 so I'm hoping be at my sweet spot by then(if I get banded this summer)so I wont have much out of pocket in 2013

Exactly I feel like they are on the outside looking in I love them but I just don't show them that my weight bothers me because they would minimize how I feel I too have a big family and id love to tell my sis she would support me fully but she is the mouth of the fam so she is out to And...then the dreaded what if I tell everyone and I'm. Except my husband he sees how my confidence has declined and only wants what makes me happy and healthy so I have his support 100%

No not at all I was planning to say they found a hyiatic hernia when they did my scope and they need to fix it and when I am on the liquid diet it is to give it time to heal my family wouldn't understand( see my early post above)it's like cosmetic to them not medically necessary so I'm. Keeping them in the dark why Stress myself out

Hi bandbeth65 I'm just getting started still completeing test had my consult on 10May getting everything to submit to my insurance So no surgery date yet wishing you great success & keep us posted on ur progress

I had my gallbladder removed 2 yrs ago this will be the dress rehearsal for the lapband from what I heard the recovery. Sounds the same due the gas & the location wishing you a speedy recovery with both procedures

When they submit to the insurance do they use the weight from your 1st consult or your current weight I had a BMI of 39.1 and I have been losing but I'm afriad by the time they submit I wont get approved I do have sleep apnea high blood pressure high chlorestoral diabetes oteosarthritis in my knees and diagnosed severly obese since 2006 so I think with my comorbs it wont matter but it still worries me. I always lose some wieght when I start something different but never seem to be able to maintian it so I would like to have the lapband to help me get where I need to be & stay there I'm only 42 and I feel 82

Is the endoscopy different from the barium thing I think I have endoscopy for the 5th I thought I was drinking the barium stuff

I have anthem bcbs and it was listed under gastric & intestinal when I tried bariatric it wasn't listed buy I found the lapband under gastric & intestinal

Yeah I'm going to start measuring I think sometimes when the scale does not move We just don' know that We are still losing

I haven't told my family yet I know they would have a lot to say I come from a family with the mentality if u want to lose weight get up & exercise so they wouldn't understand the work it takes with the lapband so I know they would look at it as the easy way I don't even want to have that discussion it will b hard enough limiting myself at family functions " remember all you have to do.it run yourself till death" and whollah you will be thin so just my husband

Just keep trying to get it all in you need your nutrition up while you bdy is healing. I haven't be banded yet but I had my gall bladder removed by lap and the pain is tough and the gas moves around becuase it is trying to find a way out of you. I know you might not feel up to it but the more you walk the easier it will find it's way. If you dont feel like walk try to stand or sit up as much as you can it really helps move it down eventually.. that's my experience at least I hope that it is helpful
