Hi, i'm now 6 days post-op and feeling great but... over the last couple of days I have started getting pins and needles in my left thigh. I can be sat, laid on my back or front and my leg goes numb. Is anyone else suffering with this or know what it could be? Also my port wound is still bleeding very so slightly 6 days on, I spoke to the nurse 4 days PO and she said that it was pretty common (I was glued) but I thought it would have stopped by now. ( I am planning on ringing the nurse again but thought i'd ask on here first).

Hi i Im in for surgery tomorrow (Sunday) and i.m a little concerned that i haven.t quite lost enough. I wasn.t given a special diet so been doing slim fast and trying to stick to 1000 calories but i.o still 4-5lbs short. I won.t be refused will I?!

Hi i was banded on Sunday and know exactly what you mean. I had like a pulling sensation every time i stood up. On Tuesday i was so worried i wouldn't be ready to go back to work Monday but by yesterday (Thursday) i feel completely different. Just think every day you will feel better than the day before! Good luck on your journey!

Hi had my band fitted yesterday, just looked down and one of my wounds is bleeding. I have been glued not stitched. Has anyone else had this problem?

Glad i read this, i'm only 3 days post op, the gas is leaving nicely and i'm feeling pretty good except for my left side where i assume my port is. The best way to describe it is a pulling sensation, if i hold my stomach and take the weight i can walk around no problem (within reason)

After surgery has anyone else felt a pulling sensation on one side? I.m only 2 days post op, i feel fine other than this pulling sensation. It stops if i lift up that side of my stomach so that i'm talking the weight. Anyone else like this? Is it normal? Should i contact the nurse?

So it's nothing to worry about then? Got to admit thought the weight of my stomach was pulling the port down as the wound is oozing a bit too but if it happens to you ladies too then i.ll see how i go. Thanks

Just waiting for the car to come pick me up to go to hospital. Real nervous now! Got a bit of heart burn too but it will all be worth it! A little worried i haven.t lost as much as was asked but it.s too late now. I will soon be banded!

Oh good (i don.t mean for your discomfort) but it.s nice to know that there.s nothing major! Was it straight away after your op? I wondered if it was where my port is because i can.t feel anything yet. X

Hi, i work with young children so i.m up and down alot! Don.t have to pick them up or anything tho. It.s true i do feel alot better than yesterday and i.m sure i.ll feel even better tomorrow. There is still 5 whole days till work so i Will see. I have been walking about tho house plenty but also putting my feet up plenty too!

Hi, no i didn.t gain, i feel really bloated tho. The site where the port feels heavy but i think it.s just pulling a little. I.m having to watch myself cause i now have 2 wounds that are oozing a bit. Were you glued or stitched? I.m glued. I go back to work next Monday, just panicking i won.t be fit and i really can't have time off :-\

Hi all sorry it hasn't been sooner! Well i'm now banded, everything went fine, i have the 14ml band with no fill at the moment. I have 5 wounds of which 1 is tender. I think it May be the port site and was bleeding a little last night but seems to be fine this morning. I'm looking forward to getting a shower as i was glued and my surgeon said today would be fine. The worst pain is the gas! Peppermint tea, warm bags and walking around seeo to ease it. I don't think the 'gas-x' strips are available in the UK are they?? Let me know how your all getting on just about so have strawberry slimfast for Breakfast YUM!

I am now banded (3rd June) i have 5 wounds but only 1 is giving me pain, it also bled a little last night but seems fine today, going to keep my eye on in. I was glued back together which i.o not too keen on. I have drank peppermint tea, had warm bags on my chest and try and walk around a little to get shed of the gas pain, it.s slowly going Not looking forward to injecting myself today but it.s got to be done :s

Thanks everyone, i re-covered it last night with another gauze and it looks fine this morning. I am going to keep my eye on it though. I think it maybe the port incision so is slightly larger than the rest. Thanks for your advice Xx

Had my band fitted yesterday I've been told i have had a large band fitted. Is there any reason for this? Will it be that i.m hungry quicker? any advice/comments welcome

Hi hope someone can clear this up i.m confused... the 2 week post op says Clear Liquids but in my book it says for lunch i can have hearty Soup blended. Is Heinz veg soup and the likes ok blended up or does it mean cup a Soups? TIA

Thank you, i know it will be worth it. Update from the hospital, the driver who was supposed to pick me up didn.t show up for work this morning! They are sending me a taxi up but it.s a 2hr trip. So i'm waiting round now....... At least i know what's happening now.

Thank you I will! I'm still waiting! Just had to ring the hospital to see where my car is.... As if i'm not worried enough without stressing about getting there haha! X
