  1. Hi hoping someone can help... On my Fitness pal I have between 1000 and 1500 cals a day, on the days I do 50 cardio what net cals should I be having??
  2. I had my 2nd fill yesterday, I am on liquids today and tomorrow then mushys for two days. I am sooooo hoping for a bit of restriction! You are spot on with the 'slow' process!!! Congrats on the restriction
  3. Thanks tnt.... it's not worried me and luckily I was in a position laid that I couldn't see what she was talking about. Nice to know I'm not the only one
  4. Been for my 2nd fill today and I have blood in my band due to the last nurse (not my normal one) hitting a blood vessel during my last fill. She wasn't too worried about this and said she will change the Fluid at my next fill. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and how did the changing of fluid go???
  5. Your Doc would hate me... I actually gained!! but got it off now. Really well done for your good start, long may it continue x
  6. I am the same... banded 3rd June 12 I lost 16lbs but that was in the first 3 weeks then nothing... all i keep thinking is stay positive until restriction, although thereupon I had the band was because of not being able to say no, well I still can't say no so neeeed that restriction! Keep us posted, keep positive and listen to fellow experienced bandsters... that's what I'm doing... good luck!!!
  7. Thank you everyone for the tips and advice. X I will try lowering my cals and carbs... I think you may have hit the nail on the head with that one, looking back at mfp I am eating lots of carbs. I think the advice I have been given from my dietician is sketchy, no calorie goal was given just stay off certain foods altogether and eat from a side plate instead of a dinner plate...
  8. Had surgery 3rd June this year... I lost 17lbs in the first 5 weeks and that's been it. ,He scales haven't moved either easy for 7 weeks now. I'm on mfp having 1200 of there about cals every day. Go lane swimming 2/3 times a wk. I have had one fill (4.5 .ml in a 14.ml band). I feel hungry all the time and I'm disappointed in myself. Anyone got any tips what I'm doing wrong??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Xx
  9. Thank you, i am terrible with drinking my fluids, maybe it.s that. Honk, the foods differ sooooo much! I wish there was just one plan to follow!
  10. Hi all, I was banded on 3rd June 12, i am now a week into my mushies...poached eggs...fish...mashed potato ect. For the last 2 days I have had a strange feeling when i stand up and walk around, It's asthough I can feel the band inside me and also feel bloated and a bit of pain if I try to pull my stomach in. I wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if its common??? I'm a little scared that I may have eaten too much, although I use a tea plate for meals. Or is it something that may be 'stuck'. Any advice would be helpful x
  11. I have had cottage pie, baked fish with mash, mashed sweet potato and Carrots. Today i tried some fresh Pasta with spinach and ricotta in a tomato based sauce. Very nice! Tomorrow i.m having fish pie for tea. Still unsure of how much i should be eating so i.m sticking to side plate portions. Can.t wait to speak to the Dietician.
  12. I see, i am really going to watch out how much i.m eating then. Thanks
  13. Thanks, i.m just hungry all the time, this is my first day on mushies, managed to eat alot more than i thought i would be able to too. I have a guide to what foods i should be eating but no guide to how much and i don.t speak to the Dietician for another 2 weeks.
  14. I know everyones diet differs like some have to have liquids for 1 week whilst some have to do 2... I was wondering how many calories people aim for at the mushy stage? And then beyond?
  15. I am allergic too, i have 3 red raised rectangles on my stomach and they itch like mad! But it.s worth it in the long run, hopefully won't have to put up with it much longer. Hang in there
  16. Thank you I will definately invest in some scales. I know I'm only one week in and on liquids but I didn't expect to be this hungry all of the time. I hope when I go onto mushies this will change. Thank you for your advice. x
  17. I wonder what it is! It's irritating more than anything. I woke up through the night and as I stood up the top of my leg was compleatly numb! I hit it and everything! I'm going to see the nurse Thursday so I will ask her, see what she says.
  18. Hi, I am now 7 days post-op and feeling 98% I would say. Just having a little problem with one wound not healing but a trip to the nurse on Thursday should sort that. I have the 14ml band with no fill at the moment. I was wondering if I will feel any restriction (when I start eating mushies next week) or will I have to wait for my first fill? That is around another 5 weeks away and I'm worrying a little that I would see the results I expected???
  19. Hi, i'm now 6 days post-op and feeling great but... over the last couple of days I have started getting pins and needles in my left thigh. I can be sat, laid on my back or front and my leg goes numb. Is anyone else suffering with this or know what it could be? Also my port wound is still bleeding very so slightly 6 days on, I spoke to the nurse 4 days PO and she said that it was pretty common (I was glued) but I thought it would have stopped by now. ( I am planning on ringing the nurse again but thought i'd ask on here first).
  20. Hi i was banded on Sunday and know exactly what you mean. I had like a pulling sensation every time i stood up. On Tuesday i was so worried i wouldn't be ready to go back to work Monday but by yesterday (Thursday) i feel completely different. Just think every day you will feel better than the day before! Good luck on your journey!
  21. Glad i read this, i'm only 3 days post op, the gas is leaving nicely and i'm feeling pretty good except for my left side where i assume my port is. The best way to describe it is a pulling sensation, if i hold my stomach and take the weight i can walk around no problem (within reason)
  22. So it's nothing to worry about then? Got to admit thought the weight of my stomach was pulling the port down as the wound is oozing a bit too but if it happens to you ladies too then i.ll see how i go. Thanks
  23. Oh good (i don.t mean for your discomfort) but it.s nice to know that there.s nothing major! Was it straight away after your op? I wondered if it was where my port is because i can.t feel anything yet. X
  24. After surgery has anyone else felt a pulling sensation on one side? I.m only 2 days post op, i feel fine other than this pulling sensation. It stops if i lift up that side of my stomach so that i'm talking the weight. Anyone else like this? Is it normal? Should i contact the nurse?
  25. Thank you everyone, i suppose i.m just worrying, going to be positive, feel better than i did this morning
