204.5 is actually pretty low on the grant totem of weight loss - you won't lose it as fast as some of the heavier folks. This isn't a bad thing - too much at the lower weights can actually be dangerous. To me' date=' it sounds like you're on track.[/quote']Thanks Benjammim...
I've struggled all of my life with my weight, I have PCOS, Type 2 Diabetis and sleep Apnea. I am happy to be moving towards a healthier life.
Gene I completely agree, but I'm on fluids and Protein shakes only...I'm afraid wit will slow down a lot more once I'm in solids

My starring weight day of surgery was 204.5, I am following the diet, drinking my fluids, my Proteins and walking everyday...
I thought the first month was when you experience the fastest weight loss...
Don't get me wrong I'm still happy to be in Onederland but I'm a bit concerned about how slow it is going.
Anyone with similar starting weight out there? How is is going for you?

I went to try melted cheese for the first tome today, purchased the fat Free mozz and cheddar....nothing cheezy about it, didn't even melt properly.
What are you guys using?

Hi Smilen, I also suffer (or should I say suffered ) from Type 2 diabetes. It def sounds like low sugar to me. Speak to your DR, mine required a 5 day very low calorie diet early on in the process where they force the body to go into ketosis. All I was allowed was 9oz (3 morning 3 lunch and 3 dinner) of lean meat and two cups of chicken broth per day. At the end of the 5th day they measure your ketone levels to see if you follow instructions and confirm you can control yourself prior to surgery approval. I barely made it to the 5th day and I had a long talk with my DR. She immediately understood and for my 2 week pre op diet gave me a much more inclusive low fat low calorie but Protein rich menu. Diabetes isn't something they take lightly, they will make adjustments.
On the bright side, hang in there, I am 10 days post op and completely off my medicine since surgery date. My sugar levels have been steady in the 80s
good luck!

Thanks for your response, I've moved on from it. Most people who turn to this surgery have had lots of experience with falling off the wagon when it comes to diet routines. But at the same time, we become pros at trying again....I am determined to reach a healthy weight. I wholeheartedly believe this was the best decision I've ever made for myself.

Hello there, I was just sleeved on 5/25
I found the pain to be very minimal, still a bit sore on my stomach area but I was off pain killers after four days and back to work in a week. Just make sure you arm yourself with some good anti.acid medicine...BURRRRRRRNNNNNING like I've never felt before.

Never again* darn smart phones

Sleeved 5/25 and live alone as well. First week wasn't bad, my mother flew in to stay with me. Once she left and I had all this free time alone I started watching my favorite channels (Food Network & Cooking channel). I love to cook and I'm obsessed with watching those darn shows. Well suffice to say they started awakening the little chubby girl in me and even though I didn't feel physically hungry I began to have mental hunger with emotional cravings. I ended up cheating on day 10
had a little piece of steak and some cottage cheese...felt like I was dying. Learned my lesson, never aging, follow the diet I know now why it is there. I've found ways to keep myself occupied and away from the cooking shows.

Thanks Deekaspor!

During your first two weeks?
Funny how we both cheated with the same exact thing lol

Hello all, my name is Isabel but people call me Izzy. I was sleeved on 5/25 and for the first week I followed every set of instructions given to me, unfortunately two days ago I had a bit of a breakdown while cooking dinner for my family and I had a small piece of meat (really small)
and a bit of cottage cheese. Terrible I know, I got sick to my stomach and learned a pretty valuable lesson. But since then I've been terrified I've caused damage to my sleeve. I've developed the worst kind of acid reflux to the point that I can't sleep well at night (didn't have that problem prior to cheating) and for the last two days I've gotten headaches. Has anyone out there cheated during the first two weeks of being sleeved?

Melted plastic is exactly what it reminds me of!
I'm going for the low Fat to snack and regular to melt...I only consume a very small amount melted so the taste would help
