  3. I've had mine for about a month now. I have sciatica and out started to flare up bad that same night I got it. I spent the first 2 wks in pain from my nerves and muscle spasms.I could feel the mirena when I leaned forward. I was going to have out removed but the midwife said to try it a little longer. So now I am on day 8 of a light period. My sciatica is subsiding but have been on ibuprofen so it's managed. I'm due to ovulate next week so maybe the period will stop. It's not bad just annoying, not enough for a tampon so I feel gross having to use pads. My hubby felt the strings the first time, but hasn't freely them since. Now the never-ending period is annoying us both, lol. I'm due for a check in September, since I have no pain, I will wait until then to see if I keep it. If my period can go back to 4-5 days by then I will be happy. If not this things gotta go.
  4. I hope my surgery will be in September :-D but still waiting for Aug 21st my meeting with surgeon, dietician and.etc hopefully I will get my date then. It's no fun sitting in the sidelines waiting but I enjoy cheering others on
  5. Hope all went well for all the had surgery this day!
  6. Haven't been sleeved yet and I share those same concerns. I know there will be pain and some adjustments to be made, but I do know also it's temporary. You will do great! Stay positive and think if all the things you want to do that the weight has stood in the way of. Look forward to better health and new successes :-D
  7. I worry about the bmi dropping and then them saying I can do it in my own and don't need surgery. I can lose weight just can't keep it off then gain it back plus more :-( Definitely ask about what counts the before 6 month diet weight out the after. Hope it goes well for you and welcome to the journey!
  8. Happy for you! Hoping all goes/went smoothly for you!
  9. Yay! Happy you got your date! Still waiting over here, lol...
  10. Congrats! Glad your wife kept the faith for you! Now that's Love!
  11. You're not alone and I think this is part of the stages of loss and acceptance. I am feeling this way too, I don't even have my surgery date yet, I should get it in Aug 21st when I go to the info session and meet the surgeon. I want to shift my diet towards low carb and increasing my liquids but in all honesty I feel if I make these changes before getting my date I will succeed and lose too much weight then be told I don't need the surgery. Silly thoughts in my head, but it's a stage I have to go through and come to terms with. Do things in steps, methodically and consistently. I'm so glad you shared toot feelings about this because it helped me realize I'm doing out too, lol. True once you are sleeved you will have that built-in "urge protector" that will definitely put that in check You gonna do great!

Hope things are better, I've read lots of others say they regretted the surgery the first couple of days. It seems to be very common due to the pain and difficulty getting in the liquids. Hopefully it will get easier and better in a few days and it too shall become a blur for you. Best wishes for a smooth recovery :-)
  13. Congrats and prayers for a quick and smooth procedure. The video you shared was great, made me tear a little too.
  14. Congrats on 18's! Rock those babies!
