When I had my first meal out at a restaurant, I went to Salt Grass Steak House with my nieces. I order the child's size portion of baby back ribs & french fries. I could only eat 3 french fries & 1 baby rib. I was very upset. But as times goes on I got used/familiar with my sleeve now, i have no problem ordering off the kid's menu. more money in my pocket & i have left overs.

I too felt the same way about the scale. This is my second stall. I have a new pair of jeans that I just got last week and they were a little snug. now since my stall is over i've dropped inches & 2 lbs and now they are a little baggy. That's why I'm not in a hurry to go shopping because wearing a pair of jeans for 1 month is not gonna work for me. I am still wearing my old (fat girl) clothes and i look uber ridiculous so i have to do something.

I eat regular ice cream or dreyers yogurt blends... I don't deprive myself but I do everything in moderation. I dont eat any fried foods or soda.

I had a stall last week. I stayed at the same weight for 2 weeks and i thought my sleeve stopped working. Just try to be persistant in excersize or walking and you will see a change. I lost inches also. I just had to tell myself to enjoy the journey because this time next year you will not look or feel the same. I was sleeved April 17th. if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to contact me.

Hey MK, Ofcourse some of us had those issues. I almost cried because I couldn't eat what I wanted & much as I wanted. It gets better as time goes on but this is the new life WE chose. Just remember the reason you did it to began with like health/medical issues for instance. Your mind has to catch up with your body. I am 1 month post op and I still fight with skinny girl/fat girl. Keep your head up! Also, there will be a time when you hit a stall, that is when you will go weeks without loosing a single pound, but may loose inches. After I started walking, I lost 6lbs in 3 days. You are alright I went through the same thing. I'm ok now. still mentally dealing with it but it's ok...really

Hey don't beat up on yourself. I love sweets also, I had 1 cupcake & a scoop of ice cream last week. I dont have cravings like i use to. but i dont deprive myself. after the cookie just say ok, no more. i think the reason for the vomiting is because you ate too much or too fast (you were sneaking). last night i went to an event they had mini cupcakes, brownies & fruit. i chose fruit because i knew it was better for me and forwhat i am doing, if i would have deprived myself last week, trust me i would have grabbed a mini red velvet cupcake w/buttercreme icing. your mind has to catch up with your body. your mind has not gotten the memo that youre doing a new thing. i still fight with skinny girl/fat girl. i am also 1 mo post opand has lost 29 1/2 lbs. keep going, enjoy your journey its all trial and error, keep ur head up!

Girl, you're gonna be there before you know it. The only thing you need to be concerned about is what's the first new article of clothing you're gonna wear.

I am noticing small changes now. Walking is so much delightful now & not painful.

I had the same problems but before my surgery. When you had the surgery why your doctor didnt prepare the hernia then? It had to be there before hand. Did you have a EGD exam before surgery. A good surgeon would check before surgery if you had any reflux problems.
