  1. Every Doctor is different, mine said no carbonation for the first two weeks then I could have diet or club soda if I could tolerate it.

  7. I am having the same sense of smell!!! My husband had a hotdog at Sam's Club the other day when we were walking out after shopping and I thought, that **** stinks, then when we got to the car and shut the door I threw up in my mouth alittle from the stench and he said I was over reacting and was going to throw it out the window!! I don't know how surgery on your stomach could make our senses so strong. And what's up with my breath???? LOL

  18. HI, I was the same way, then the night before surgery I slept great, the morning of laughing and joking and very calm. Then when I got taken back to pre-op in hospital to get set up for surgery still very calm. I did ask the nurse if anyone ever hops off the bed and runs out? She said yes and most people that do it just come back another time but sicker!! She told me I should be very excited about this and I am going to do wonderful!! The worst part of the whole day was getting in the iv,because my veins are deep and small. The nurse told me this was going to be the most pain and uncomfotable I will feel all day and she was right!!! So don't worry everything will be alright!! Heather
  19. Hi, I used to ask my surgeon everything I could think of during our 6 month visits. I asked about both the straw was extra air, but I still use one if anything I could always stop using it. But the gum I got a whole lecture on that. Gum if swallowed could be very bad, I guess because it doesn't disolve?? but the real problem he says is that gum actually makes your stomache think its getting ready to eat because of all the chewing and then signals to the brain to cause hunger also the air you swallow. But do what your doctor tells you.
