  1. I have no way of finding out how many cals/carbs are in the fruits though?? Ive searched everywhere
  2. I must have something wrong I can drink 3 of the 24oz smart waters plus a 12oz Protein shake in the morning... sometimes 4 of the smart waters.
  3. Then how else would you suggest taking calories up? Lean Protein wont work... That will fill you up fast and you wont get in many cals. Veggies wont work.. Youll be full off of few cals. Any other options?
  4. Yes you do... Your BMI is 50. They need to get their heads out of their butts.
  5. Raising calories and carbs worked for me. I was talking in another thread about how smoothie king's Gladiator smoothie actually has way more sugar and carbs than what's shown on the website, but if you need to up cals a few days that'd be good. Get the king size and drink on it all day - if you add an extra scoop of protein (which I did) it will give you 65 or so grams of protein.
  6. Yeah but I got the king size one and drank on it over a few hours lol. So it wasn't all at once.
  7. I knew it sounded too good to be true. The gladiator is listed WITHOUT the fruit information added. So the calories and carb count will skyrocket once the fruit is added. It sounded extremely low so I called the number on the website to ask.
  8. Might as well get used to it its not going anywhere lol. I'm down to averaging 2lbs a week and I'm only 6 weeks out.. oh well at least it means that I may not have skin issues if I go this slow.
  9. People are stupid sometimes. If you stay in starvation mode gues what... that's what'll happen. You'll start starving and your body will shut down to preserve itself. If you bump your calories for a few days you'll lose again. I see nothing wrong with eating 1000-1200 calories a day. Guess what - if we could have limited ourselves to 1200 calories a day BEFORE surgery WE WOULD HAVE LOST A TON OF WEIGHT!!! There's no rule that says just because our stomachs are smaller we have to stay at 800 calories or less a day... that's why they don't really GIVE you a calorie limit. You need calories or else your metabolism will move at a snail's pace. I'm trying to keep from shutting my metabolism down completely. That's just me though
  10. And here I was thinking you misspelled who-ha... lol
  11. You're not alone. I did atkins too about 15 years ago and lost 90lbs over 9 months and was slim... that lasted all of about a year then I was gaining back. I was a dumb teenager and didnt think and put it all back on plus some. I also get tired of just eating meat... So today I went to subway and got a 6" oven roasted chicken breast with NO cheese and mustard - it's only 350 cals.. and will take me a few hours to eat lol. Bread doesn't affect me negatively either... I also couldnt stomach the pre-op liquid diet and would eat subway once or twice a day and ran about 1200-1400 cals a day... I lost 6lbs in that week before surgery so I don't think the carbs will impact me in that way. Only 14g are sugar. This is also getting in protein with the chicken which is good too... So trust me.. I can totally relate lol.
  12. I hate the feeling that eating gives now... I'm kind of getting over it now though.. I'm 6 weeks out and hated the thought of eating for weeks 2-5 probably...
  13. Im roughly six weeks out and averaging 1000 cals a day - not all of it is lean protein (otherwise id still be in the 700s... When i upped my cals 4-5 days ago it broke my stall but now ive stopped again... The weight loss has just been so obscenely slow lately.. So what are your average cals? How far out are you? Thanks!
  14. Lol so should us guys be lookin to nab a cute wife too? Lol
  15. Well, my BMI's lower so i'll lose a little slower, but since I've upped I'm losing 0.4 - 0.5 pounds a day. That could take you up too? Worked for me... I've been stalling off and on.. more on than off... here lately.
  16. Candy - up your calories. I did and it worked - even if you eat CRAP for a couple of days just try to get over 1000 calories... it broke my stall the next day.
  17. and Amy - you're gorgeous.. it's going to happen... Just think about if that's something you want involved in your life.
  18. Thank you but I tell no lies... unfortunately. Maybe in 80lbs... lol but this isn't my thread so I'm not trying to hijack it, but thank you.
  19. I have no clue - never happens :-/
  20. I felt the same way the first week.... it goes away. I'm stoked I'm losing. Can you honestly say you would have had the will power/ability to keep it off for good if you HADNT gotten the surgery? I realized that I couldnt. I have been struggling with my weight for 20 years (I'm 33)... I know this is the ONLY way that I'll be able to lead a normal healthy life. Just think about that and be honest with yourself and it will help you come to terms with it. Do I still miss being able to sit down and eat my whole meal at Outback? you bet... That's the hardest part for me right now is seeing an awesome meal and not being able to really make a dent in it. That's ok though - I'll have leftovers
