Well I have always had a high drive and so has my wife. But with the 42lbs preop weight loss my longevity and wanting it even more was showing. I was sleeved yesterday and I told my wife I think we could work around the catheter Until They took it out and after urinating the first time I told her we better wait

Well I'm sleeved in a little pain but nothing major. Don't think there's to many left on here for Dr Washingtons crew. Oh well -
I was sleeved between 8am and 10am this morning I've been in moderate pain but manageable. I was extremely nervous and scared but it's done now so it's all gone now. I just have to prepare for my future now. Lloyd

Food Has Always Been There For Me (Nervous)
Lloydthumper posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's as the title says I'm nervous. My surgury is sept 19th. And I'm trying to talk myself out of it. I have always used food as a comfort. I've always told people I eat if I'm depressed and I eat if I'm happy. Stressed etc. I'm scared that I will have trouble dealing with issues in life if I can't turn to food. Addiction runs on my mothers side of the family. I've never smoked drank or did drugs and do ever seeing me do it but without food there I'm not sure how things will go. When my mother passed away I gained almost 75lbs. I know if I don't do something I'm going to die at a young age. But I'm really scared of never getting the same comfort I have for years. I've lost 27lbs on my pre op so far and 12lbs before that I was at a peak of 352lbs at 5'10" I'm now 315lbs. And feel better and know I'll feel even better if I lose more. But I'm really scared of life after surgury. Has anyone been through this? -

Jafter I sent you a message. -
Had the same thing happen to me trying to ride a roller coaster the only thing that helped there was another guy not so much over weight but just a big guy one place over and he would fit either. I broke my favorite Ford racing fold out chair that I ironically won by losing the most weight in a biggest loser contest In a car club I'm in. But I had gained all the weight back plus some I was in front of my wife's whole family. I've came really close with the airplane thing but I'm only big in my mid to upper section so the belt went under my belly and barely clicked.

To Sleeve Or Not To Sleeve
Lloydthumper replied to Jessica9190's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound like a female version of me. My surgury is this coming Wed I start Monday with all the pre op stuff upper endo etc. I have a 12yo and a 20yo (he's out of the house) and a beautiful wife that's 5'1" and a 105lbs soaking wet (makes me mad) but I used to be smaller when my oldest was younger and did all kinds of things with him but my 12yr old has gotten nothing and he's getting to that age where parents don't matter as much. So I desperately want to salvage at least a couple of years before he's out to. I Took out a large life insurance policy about 5 years ago because I felt then if I didn't do something I was going to die. I wanted my family to be taken care of finacialy if something did happen. I've lost and gained and lost and gained several times through the years. But what really got me to say enough is enough is I was on a diet and went out to lunch and was looking for a salad bar well I found one in a pizza place (Buffett) I did eat the salad and said to myself I'll just eat one piece of pizza but by the time I left I had probally ate 8 pieces telling myself after each one to stop. I realized then I had zero control anymore and needed serious help. I also got to thinking I've gained over 100lbs in 2 1/2 years (I had lost 70) before that overall been obese 1/2 of my adult life I (40). Im sorry i ramble on but what I'm trying to say is I am not really here for my family now other than a pay check and I don't want my sons to grow up and say my Dad never did anything with me but set on his butt and eat. I am nervous and scared to death of the post op side and possible complications but I've did a 3 week all liquid diet sofar and lost 27 lbs with no cheating and walking up to 4 miles a day. I feel like I need to have the surgury to help me stay on track. I wish you the best of luck with your decision. Lloyd -

Sept. 17Th Sleevers Are You Ready?
Lloydthumper replied to mommeof3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is on the 19th only a few on here with that date. So i hope im not butting in. I go Monday for my upper endo. The pre op has not been to bad I've had 3 weeks of muscle milk light. I've lost 25lbs so far and 12lbs before the pre op. I've been trying to talk myself out of the surgury so I'm guessing my nerves are getting to me. But I'm committed to do it. I'm not getting younger (40) and its getting harder the more I gain. Was 352lbs I am just really nervous my wife has had 2 c-sections and her Gaul bladder out. She calls me a big wimp. I guess I'll see. Good luck to y'all to. -
From a guys point of view Dooter the thread is worthless without pictures congratulations on the sexy wear.

Obese After Sleeve?
Lloydthumper replied to Sannah's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't like BMI charts or height weight charts everyone is different bone structure muscle mass etc I know it's extreme but Arnold Schwarzenegger was 250lbs at 5'10" when he won Mr. Universe by the charts he was obese for his height with less than 6% body fat I know he was a body builder but thats an example of a BMI or height weight chart. -
Pre Op Diet Sucks!
Lloydthumper replied to zebrasprinkles's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm on Day 4 1/2 myself and yes it does suck. But I really haven't been hungry my preop is 6 muscle milk light shakes aday 2 at each meal nothing else and I have to do 3 weeks of it. Right now I'm ok but It is hard to see all the food around and not have any. I feel your pain but I think its going to be worth it.
