  1. I'm 23 and I'm 3.5 weeks out. I think that once you get all healed up and where you want to be you'll still be able to have plenty of fun, you just won't be able to do keg stands or shot contests.
  2. Could it be thrush? Did you suregon tell you about the damage or did you notice it once you got home? I would call the office. It's going to be super hard to get your liquids or any portein in with that problem. I hope it's better soon.
  3. Not that I'm saying y'all shouldn't quit, but smoking has had no effect on my healing. I have actually bounced back better than most from the surgery. I live in the most smoker friendly city in the US it seems. It hard to quit when it's every where.
  4. West Jeff had theirs on a Monday. I work til 8pm on Mondays so I can't attend
  5. I was going to try to make a meet-up group for us, but come to find out they charge. And I really am not in a place to spend extra money right now. This makes me sad.
  6. Congrats on being another step closer, your day will be here before you know it. I wish you much success!
  7. I'm very excited for you! Congrats on your journey so far!
  8. About 3 days. I used a pillow for some extra cushion, and still do some times (I'm a little over three weeks out)
  9. I don't have a bike yet, but once I do I would be up for some riding in city park. It's only about a mile from my house.
  10. My surgeon suggested that I quit but didn't demand it.
  11. Welcome to the group Slim! And congrats on your surgery. Where do you do your biking in NOLA? I would really like to get a monthly support group going, I just am at a loss for a place to meet. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome.
  12. I'm happy your feeling better! How long are they going to keep you in the hospital.
  13. Good luck! I'll be sending positive healing vibes your way!!! -Sammie on iPhone.
  14. I'll be three weeks out tomorrow. Still doing very well. I think I was moving just a little to quickly and caused myself a little bit of pain right above my belly button. I really have to remind myself, "take it easy you just had surgery." lol.
  15. 51 lbs is awesome! Congrats and good luck with your surgery.
  16. Best of luck, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.
  17. I'm doing pretty well! Stated back at work yesterday. It was hard but I think it's going to be fine. I'm so happy to be on soft foods! -Sammie on iPhone.
  18. Why would you be counted out? Some of the best time to learn is before you've had the sleeve. I wish I could have talked to people who had it before getting mine.
  19. I'm so sorry to hear that. Get better soon!!!
  20. It is going to be worth it, but I know the feeling all to well. I was just telling my mother the other day that I wish there where networks that didn't show ads for junk food. I can't imagine what it would be like to have school stuff during all this. If you ever need a ear, I'm here. (hey that rhymes lol)
  21. I would be willing to meet up with you and talk to you about first few weeks post-op. I'm still there right now actually. Always willing to help out a new sleever. I know how much it would have helped me.
