    New Orleans?

Hey y'all. I was wondering if we had anyone from New Orleans in the group. I'm looking to start a meet up for local sleevers. If you interested let me know.
  2. Hello everyone. My name is Samantha, I'm 23 and living in New Orleans, La. I'm looking for other sleevers in the area that would be interested in maybe having a monthly meet up or something along their lines. I have created a group and hope that you join and we can use it as a tool of support and learning. Thank you.

Hey y'all. Just trying to get something started for the New Orleans metro sleevers. I'm hoping that we can use this group as a great tool of support and learning.

    Sleeved And 21

I'm 23 and I'm 3.5 weeks out. I think that once you get all healed up and where you want to be you'll still be able to have plenty of fun, you just won't be able to do keg stands or shot contests.
  5. Could it be thrush? Did you suregon tell you about the damage or did you notice it once you got home? I would call the office. It's going to be super hard to get your liquids or any portein in with that problem. I hope it's better soon.

    A Question For Smokers

Not that I'm saying y'all shouldn't quit, but smoking has had no effect on my healing. I have actually bounced back better than most from the surgery. I live in the most smoker friendly city in the US it seems. It hard to quit when it's every where.

    Welcome!

I was going to try to make a meet-up group for us, but come to find out they charge. And I really am not in a place to spend extra money right now. This makes me sad.

    How Long?

About 3 days. I used a pillow for some extra cushion, and still do some times (I'm a little over three weeks out)

    Welcome!

I don't have a bike yet, but once I do I would be up for some riding in city park. It's only about a mile from my house.

    A Question For Smokers

My surgeon suggested that I quit but didn't demand it.

    Welcome!

Welcome to the group Slim! And congrats on your surgery. Where do you do your biking in NOLA? I would really like to get a monthly support group going, I just am at a loss for a place to meet. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome.
  15. I'm happy your feeling better! How long are they going to keep you in the hospital.

  17. Hello! My name is Samantha and I'm 23 years old. I'm currenlty living in New Orleans, La and I'm a full time bar tender. I was sleeved just 8 short days ago. So far I'm feeling amazing. I had my sleeve done by Dr. David Treen at West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero, La on Monday April 30th at 7:30 am. It was a pretty easy time for me all and all. He said the surgery went perfect and there was nothing to worry about. I went to my mothers house after a one night hospital stay. I took my last dose of pain medication on Tuesday May 1st at 8:30pm. So far I haven't had any real pain to speak of. I guess that I'm posting this to inruduce myself. When I started my jounrey I joined another forum, that I love, but have found that there is not many sleevers on there. I came here in hopes to find some of the answers me and the other sleevers are looking for. I hope to be a strong part of this forum and that I get to make lots of new friends a long the way. -Sammie
  18. I'll be three weeks out tomorrow. Still doing very well. I think I was moving just a little to quickly and caused myself a little bit of pain right above my belly button. I really have to remind myself, "take it easy you just had surgery." lol.
