No I have never had a fill , I'm running on empty 7 mos out no fills , the doctor doesn't belive in them

mine were 3' date='5, and 1.5 in a 10cc band.I have 9.5 in a 10 cc band. My doctor explained to me once the fat around your stomach goes down you loosen up a bit. my restricton is good usally for a bout a month and the more I loose so looser it starts to get but now that most of the fat around my stomach is gone I should only need like .1 cc if any at all on my other check ups[/quote']

My doctor told me that there is no fat around the stomach that it around everything else and that there is no reason for the band to losen up, and that just because one has the band doesn't mean they ned to have fills . I'm 7 mo out and no fills , I'm going to find another doctor , want gets me is this is coming from Ucdavis and they are supposed to be some of the best,

Update , went to my app yesterday , I had all my food records and exercise records, like I was told to.I started 300lbs now 262.4 , I've gained back another 4 lbs, of course never got to see the doc , only the nurse, and she told me that my band hold 12 cc at the most that they will allow anyone to have is 4cc, and she told me that 7 mos is to soon to get a fill, she said my food records look rally good as for me being hungry and truly feeling that I need fill, she said all that was in my head. Also she said that I shouldn't belive everything I read in the group, I was so upset , crying , I told her that , I feel as this band is just setting in me and your wanting me to be on the 800 cal diet and starve but not use the band , I said what the hell? Why do I have it then ? That they might as well take it out because its no diff as if it wasn't in me , , I left crying feeling like what the heck did I get myself into? Letting them put this thing in me for no reason, I felt like maybe I'm just meant to be fat , and why keep trying ? Because I starting to gain my wieght back . Yes count my cal coming out my butt, but I'm hurry , and I got fat over the years cause I have a hard time staying on a diet, or I wouldn't be in the shape that I'm in, I thought the lap band was Supose to help me by curbing my hunger , guess it just to hang around in me for idk? But I really do feel let down and feel like giving up, idk what I'm going to do , I think I'm going to demand that I can be ref to another doc , and if I still can't get any fills , then I'm just going to have it taking out, no reason to keep it, at first when I got it , it worked good , but not now . And 7 mos out and still no fills , that trip to the doctor yesterday , turn out to be 5 hour trip , just so the nurse. Could tell me that the doc will be gone for 3 weeks . And that it's to soon for a fill , she could of told me that on the phone, she said that she will call in the next mo or two to set up app. So that they can check out the band and make sure it's. ok, crazy!!!!!!! I'm not planning on going back to Ucdavis clinic, I'll get another doc and see how it goes with him , so what , that I may have to travel another 3 hours out of the way, I just got to do what I got to do , I'm feeling like there is no hope, sorry to be such a downer, and I'm happy for those of you doing good, and have good doctors , keep up the hood work, I'm guessing it just wasn't meant for me, thanks for listening to me whine and complain, sorry

When you need the lap band fills it does not depend of the time it depends of how much weight you loose and usually you are foing to loose 6 to 12 pounds a month but some months you will loose weight and others only reduce the sizes in case that you have two months and you don't see any difference in your body is when you need the fill.

How about stay the same up and down for two mths then gaining the next two mths like 10lbs and I feel the diff I'm watching wat I eat also

Medicare medicaland I have been making my app with the doc at the clinic at Ucdavis , I will say that my short stay at Ucdavis hospital was a very nice one , they are all wonderful people and the best care, the doc did a great job also , operation very little scars , it's just the fills I'm having problems Fromm the doctors getting them from Ucdavis clinic, I'll find out more on my app

I'm familiar with the area since I'm from Stockton. How about dr Woodbury in Santa Rosa or docs in Chico?

The hospital isn't who give you fills. Why are you not making appt with the drs office directly? I'm confused too because ucdavis is the best around. I have a friend who works there in that department I think. She's like a big shot. If you pm me the docs info I could find out more for you.

Gridley calif but the doc in sac ucdavis

It's Ucdavis Supose to be some of the best doctors around , the doc did come into my hosp room and said I just want you to know that my job is done! That he has completed his job , no more will be needing him, I was dumb founded and shocked, and I haven't seen him sense either , it's only the nurses that I get to see, I make app to see the doc and still only the nurses I get to see

Thank you guys , I've tryed to find another doc and finding one within a hour and half drive of my home , is hopeless , I did find one , but he wanted $1000. And have me take more classes before he would even see me, I'm on disability Medicare and medical, I live in California , gridley California , I've been traveling to sac , Ucdavis , I really wish I could find another doc close by, it's really hard sometime to find a ride to sac, I have no family, friends have done so much for me already by taking me back and forth, that I just can't ask them to do any more, beside their car is broke down. Gridley is between live oak and Biggs which is between yuba city and OROVILLE small town , I exspect to travel some to see a doc but I can't handle anything over a two hour drive ,

Don't be haveing expectations of getting fills because I have a lapband, and that it doesn't matter how long I've had the band , fills isn't something that comes with it, this is Ucdavis hospital telling me this, I know I need a fill , I've got to travel one and half to two hours to the doctors , I really praying that they be nice enough to let me get a fill even tho they don't like doing them, I wish I knew all this before the operation, I lost 50 lbs , then all the sudden it was like I can eat anything hungry all the time , I stayed the same wieght for about a mth , then started going up and down in wieght gain 5 lbs lose 5 lbs, at the moment I've gain back 10 lbs , starting to panic , because I don't want to gain wieght back, the band works great when I can feel it, for some reason I thought getting fills was part of having the lapband , but not according to my doctor , the 30th I'm taking All my food records and exercise records and am going to plea with them. . 7 mos out , It not to much to ask for a fill , is it?

April 24 Is when I had my operation for the lapband, it will be 7 mos this Friday nov. 24 , I've got a app on the 30th, They said they put 2 cc in at time of operation , I just got done talking the the doctors , and they said not to have expectations of getting fills just cause I've got the band

I get to see my doc nov 30, I've got 2 cc in band now that the doc put in during my operation April the 24 th next week marks my 7 mth. Still no fills hopeing and praying I get one in two weeks , didn't sound to promising tho, starting to gain back the 50 lbs that I lost , so far gain 10 back so far, that's the greatest fear I have gaining it back, my doc doesn't like doing fills tho, and I havnt been able to find another doc yet , I'm on Medicare medical disabiled , and live in gridley ca, I have to travel at least a hour to sac to see the doc , I call one doc in Chico and he wanted $ 1,000. Dollars cash for me to take classes, I told him that I've done all the classes, he takes Medicare but, still wants$1,00 . Ok thanks , I been reading about slips and I'm a worry wart , when it started gurgling I thought oh no ! I don't know what a slip would feel like? If it hurts or what? And the soon as I could get app to see the doc in nov 30th , but, if gurgling is norm , then I feel ok , thank you , still gurgles and sometimes it feels like , you know when you pregant and the baby kicks u a little in the ribs , that's what it feels like and the gurgles are like tickles kindof , wierd , what does a slip feel like and how did u know it slipped?

My lap band just seem to just stop working over night and now it's gurgling and last three day had lose bowels , would it of slip?

Well here Ill soon , be 6 mos out sense my operation on April 24,2012. And still no fills , they said the soon as they could get me a appointment in nov, 30th and then there not even sure ill get a fill then, it depends if I have all my food records , and exercise records of every moment of the day then they will decide wheather I need a fill or not, I'm almost 6 mis out , I wieghted 300lbs to start with , I got down to 250lbs for about a mo. But now I'm gain it back ! I'm a 262 lbs now! I just want to cry, why did I go thur all this,? I wished that I gotten the gastric bypass then I wouldn't have to be begging for fills , and the doc is along ways away , it would be horrible to go all that way then them turn me down for a fill, I thought u c Davis was Supose to be one of the best, but now it seems thaeyhave no time for me, my doc even came into my room and said that his job is done , it's all up to the nurses , I call another doc and explain

How do you know if your band has slip, my band revived 4-24-2012. And at time of operation the doc put 2cc in the band , as of today sept 10,2012 I still havnt recived a fill, my deal is that up unroll about a week and a half ago, I had a hard time eating bread or chicken if to dry , I would get plugged up , then all the sudden a week and a half ago , I could eat breads , dry chicken , I can eat anything , I was wondering if my band might of slipped? Or is it that it's lose now and I need a fill? Oh and I got app in nov 30,2012 to talk about a fill but , doesn't sound to promising , that would make it 7 mo. Sense my operation with no fill, I'm confused as can a band stretch and become lose that's why the fills? Or could it be that my band really did slip?

Had my band put in April 24, 2012 started out with 2cc starting wieght was 300 lbs and today sept 10,2012. Wieghed in at 255 lbs . And still no fills , next app is in nov. 30, in sac and prating for a. Fill then , but I've got to have all my food records of food and times amount of cal and amount of protien every day also my activity records on times and types of exercises for each day, they said if they are not complete or I forget them , that they won't even see me, and still even with them , it doesn't mean that I'm going to get a fill, by nov , what that ? Seven mo, sense my operation and still no fills ,, I'm do afraid that I'm going to gain back what I lost, and 6 mos if food records and exercise records is a lot t have track if every day and not miss a day or three, any way just thought I would check in , nothing's changed still waiting in first fill.

What was some of the reasons why they put it in at the operation? My was done 4-24-12 and still getting the run around about getting any fills, they told me that they don't like giving fills and if I'm lucky enough to be one of the few that does get a fill that it will only be half cc.
