What was some of the reasons why they put it in at the operation? My was done 4-24-12 and still getting the run around about getting any fills, they told me that they don't like giving fills and if I'm lucky enough to be one of the few that does get a fill that it will only be half cc. So crazy I have to travel a little was to see my doctor just to be told this? Etrrrrrrrr I've got to find another doctor , yep it's a good thing he did put 2cc in during the operation or I would be running on empty,

My doc put 2cc in mine 4-24-12. And I've lost 50lbs Abd still waitin to get a app to have another fill, I didn't know for a long time the the doc putt 2cc in mine when he put the band in,

Just be honest on the test, the only problem I had was that I was going for gastric bypass, but the doc decided because of my mental health issues and depression that the bypass would not be good for me , and decided that the band would be , other then that , I don't see it causing any problems ,

I'm sure she is seeing a doctor or she wouldn't of made it this far, and I also have mental issues and I also have the band , if any thing the band has help with my mental issues . I now can leave the house and go into a store for few mins . Very scary , but I wasn't able to do that before . As I'm sure she is seeing a doc , so am I , and omdoung just fine , and truly belive she will also .

I mean keep taking your Meds and thinking possitive , try not to worry because you can do this, I understand where ur coming from , and you will be fine , really it will all work out for the better. Honest

Also I felt like in the beginning that I was going to fail , cause diet and not eating lol really,? But so far as many times as I messed up , I'm still doing good and starting to think hey maybe i can do this , I keep taking my Meds and try to think possitive doesn't always work , dont worry it will all be good , you will see, really

Yes I do same as you, plus add bipolar, it really sucks, my operation was April 24. 2012. 300 lbs and now I'm down to 256 lbs , even tho I still eat when I shouldn't , I'm still losing wieght, I really had my doubts that the band would help me lose wieght , but it has , it amazes me, cause belive me I've gone off my diet a few time s then some , and I'm still losing , I too am really really really bad , have some bad mental issues , there is no way I could ever hold down a job , no matter how much I wanted too, feel free to write me anytime, I'm here, also my e-mail address is : johnsonteri@live.com

Yes I have the same problem but also add bipolar , yeh I hate it, I had my band in April the 24th was 300 lbs then, and now I'm 257lbs . I'm amazed , because I really had my doubts that I would be able to lose with the band , but I have been slowly but I'm still loseing. My mental condition . Is about the same . I try not t stress on losing wieght , so if I do go off my diet or not eat like I'm supose that It's ok, so I found out, cause , get back on track , and as many times I went off my diet , I'm still losing . And all this without a fill, mentally I do feel as u , I'm really really bad also , there is no way I could hold down a job , even if I wanted to, I'm taking baby steps tho, I now can go into a store for few mins once in a while . The doctor feels that I shouldn't need fills and say trying to find the port and the shot can cause infections. I know it's crazy . I don't understand the doctor either, and belive mre I ask plenty of times as to why, that's why I feel that I should find another doctor, if I can find one ,

Operation date was April 24,2012 in sac , it's almost been 4mos sense I've gotten this . I started at 300lbs. Now am 262 lbs, which I have been foe 3 weeks now, I'm still waiting to get a fill. They said they could get me a app, for sept the 7th and that doesn't mean I'll get a fill then , they will just talk to me about it, they (Ucdavis) doesn't belive in giving fills unless that really have too, that's what they told me . And I'm really believing that they will not ever going to get a fill,, keep getting the run around,bin really wondering now why I had this thing put on me, I m hungry all the time and can eat like I always have, I'm so dis appointed , I wish to god that I gotten the gastric bypass, I'm not a happy camper at all, I'm on disability so I receive Medicare, I'm thinking that I'm going to try and find a diff doctor and praying that he will give me fills , or will take it out and give me the gastric bypass, but not to sure how Medicare feels about that? I feel like the year of jumping thur hoops and all the test to have this operation was a waste of time, I want so very much for this to work, I read all your guys good reports and wieght loss, which is wonderful, but I'm really starting to feel like giving up all hope, I just don't understand . Countingtcalories and doing it all like a good girl and I'm starving and still not losing wieght, I have 1000 cal. A day like the doc said , I have my protien drink, I walk 2 hours a day, what did I do to my self? I'm going to look for another doc and talk to him about every thing and take it from there, I'll touch back in with everyone to update on what's happening with me, and congrad. Band April 24,2012. 300 lbs. Today 7-30-2012. Wieght in at 262 lbs still no fill, doctor when he put band in put 2cc in it , he said he first like to do fill unless he has to, is it normal to go this long with out a fill? I'm so hungry all the time , I can't eat good , no problem don't I need a fill yet?

I got my band 5-24-12 was 300 lbs now 263lbs . I keep losing then gaining over and over, I too am wondering if I should of went with the bypass, thus counting calories have work for short part of time then I stop, and I'm starving all the time , bread get stuck just like pasta , I have only 2.cc in band , I was wondering if my food get stuck sometimes does that mean that I don't need a full , or am I just eating to fast, I do throw up sometime and it very embarrassing when we r out to dinner and I have to run to the bath room , really getting tired of that , I'm really think I'm wanting a bypass but, figure that sense I haven't had the band that long that I Probaly won't be able to get it and I supose there got to be something wrong like the cabs slipping before I can get a bypass ? Idk ? I'm hopeing that another fill will help in making me feel full , cause as is I'm always hungery. And I can eat anything , just bread get stuck in mornings .

Sorry it was 4-24-12 I started at 300lbs now today 2 mos out I wieght 267 lbs going slow I decide to make Fridays my wiegh in days

And you guys can get fills every mth? Wow ! I'll be lucky if I get one fill ever, I call a diff doc and they want me to come In Dover can talk and see what he can do,

My doctor said that when he put the band in 4-24-12 that he already put 2 cc in it now 2 mos out they sAid that I need to make a speacial appointment to see the dr and talk about getting a fill and he will decide , and if he does agree to give me a fill the it will only be half cc. And she said the appoint to talk to him will be a couple mos out . That means if I make the appointment today that I will have been band go 4 mos . And still waiting and hoping for a fill, is this normal? Did anyone else start out with 2cc and then 4 mos out get another half cc if I'm lucky ? What was your guy at by the time u was 4 mos out? And how much on average does one need to get? Is 2cc very little and I'm truly hungery and it's not all in my head like I've been told? Am I asking to much to have more fills? Then 2cc ? I feel hungrier and can eat just like before then band , my wieght loss is slow but I've stuck been stuck for like 3 weeks without the scale moving , I'm do afraid that I'm going to start gaining wieght , I'm already on a 500 to 700 cal diet and walking a hour a day , I'm starving I want to fill. Full, help ? I'm confused

Band 4-24-12 lost 25 lbs

My doctor said that he doesn't believe in giving fills , that if he can , he rather not give any fills at all. I'm checking into another doctor that does believe in giving fills hoping that will help and the scales get moving again
