  1. Is the maxpro protein shake good? I have heard a few others mention it and was curious of the taste. So far I like the UnJury chocolate flavor, chicken soup and unflavored. I am interested in others just for a change. Oh and by the way I am now down 23.7 pounds!!! I am so stoked.

Some have stated that when they have come to a stall they changed their exercise routine up. If they walked for thirty minutes they walked fourty-five and then they would increase the pace a little more. I hope this helps.
  3. GOOD FOR YOU!!! WHOOHOOO!!! You have earned the right to strut your stuff at the pool. Some people think that this is easy and that we don't have to put in any work to lose the weight still. This is so not true. It is still a battle, and the work is so hard. I am at 23.7 pounds down since the 2nd of May and let me tell you, I can't wait to be able to say I am eighty five pounds down. I will strut my stuff just like you. GO GIRL!!
  4. @Neeve, I am so happy to hear that you are doing better. I don't know about you but I was having some trouble tolerating my supplements as well. Then I had a bad bout of constipation. It didn't happen until they told me to do the two Calcium and Multivitamins a day. I am also anemic so there is the Iron. All in all it all led to the dreaded constipation. I too am doing better because I went and bought me some Senokot and boy am I now relieved!!! LOL I hope you get much much much better soon and keep up the wonderful work.
  5. @SimplyQuel, I was told that some stalls are to be expected. I was so busy this week I was only able to use my stationary bike for three days this week and I walked yesterday. I took my usual route to walk and beat the time by 5 minutes so that tells me I need to walk a little further and hopefully I can get a little faster. My only problem is I have asthma and sometimes too much can aggravate it and there I am on the nebulizer again. I must admit though since the surgery I have been okay and with the weight I have lost I haven't had many issues with my asthma. I haven't weighed in a week so I am going to get a scale and see where I am now. Isn't funny when you know you are heavy you refuse to buy a scale but when you are losing you are gung ho to get one?
  6. I have been blending all my foods in the blender to puree it. To give myself a little extra Protein I use the unjury chicken Soup flavor mix and pour it over the chicken as a gravy and it works great for me.

  9. I went to see my surgeon on Thursday, and this was my first weigh in since my surgery on the 2nd of may. I am happy to report that I lost 11.6 pounds!!! I am so stoked. Just to witness the number go down was an awesome feeling.
  10. If you are still taking some pain medications this could explain the nausea. You pain could be gas. I was told by my doctor that this could happen. So with that being said I suppose this is normal.
  11. Congrats on the weight loss. I had my surgery on the 2nd of May and I am trying hard to work in the protein and the water. I have to remind myself to eat (Drink) my meals as well. I am getting better though. I hope I am as successful as you when I weigh in on Thursday. Congrats to you again.
  12. I don't have staples, I am ten days post op I have the skin derma bond. However I remember when I had my staples removed after my C-Section it didn't hurt it just felt like I was being pinched. You will be fine. I had a lot of fears in the beginning regarding calories but I don't any longer. My stomach does not hold as much as it used to for me to worry about that. I add an entire packet of UnJury to one can of soup and I eat it throughout the day along with the other like yogurt, and such and I try to keep up with the protein count. As for the protein shakes, I was told to just make sure I take in anywhere between 65g - 100g of protein a day. This will help prevent a lot of hair loss. I hope this helps.
  13. Hi Kenya Angel, I was told that not everyone will get the saggy skin and such especially you exercise along with eating right and drink plenty of fluids. I had my surgery on the 2nd and I have been walking and riding a stationary bike here at home and when I walk I have been carrying something with a little weight to it and I have noticed some change in the strength and firmness in the muscle in my arms. Not sure if this is much help to you but these are just a couple of things I have been doing at home.

  15. @Ericka, Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I started my full liquid diet today and despite being somewhat nervous about I had a pretty good day. I added the protein powder to my soup and blended them together and with the yogurt as well. For me I felt so full from it and I am using the 2.5 oz measurements. Did this happen with you as well?
  16. Thanks phatdivabbw and Thickhawk, I thought it was just me. @phatdivabbw I never thought about the sippie cup thanks.
  17. @Rodswife thanks for the advise I did not know that creatin was added to protein drinks. I will be sure to look for it as I check around for different flavors. At this time I plan on using UnJury.
  18. Hi Kim, I am pod 7 and I start my full liquid diet tomorrow. I do not know at this time how much weight I have lost but I have never been a slave to the scale and I am not going to start now. I feel confident that your insurance will approve your surgery and you will be well on your way to a new life. Welcome and good luck to you.
  19. Yes I am and I start the second stage on Thursday. I have been walking a lot because I don't want to get weak. I am consistently sipping water and it has helped me as well. I do notice the more I sip the less the BEAST visits me.
  20. My Nutritionist, Surgeon and Doctor told me to not worry so much about the numbers but staying healthy and if you focus on staying healthy the numbers and everything else will fall into place. Congrats on the new job and love life.
  21. Favoredone I am currently a 22 trying and my focus in the beginning was to reach a goal of at least a 16, I used to say I prefer to be a 14 but the more I read about this and my health issues I really want to be HEALTHY. It is amazing the progress you have made CONGRATS TO YOU GIRL!! Continued success to you.
  22. I am so excited for you Ericka! This is awesome. I am looking forward to the day when I can post the same. I am so glad I found this group, you all give me so much hope and inspiration. Thank you for the encouragement to stay strong. I am happy to say that today is a lot better. By Thursday I start stage two of my diet. I am looking forward to it but also a little nervous. I am not sure why but I am. I know I will do well but sometimes the thought of maybe not being ready yet creeps into the back of my mind. I'm sure I'll be okay. CONGRATS to you again, and Thank you for the encouraging words.
  23. Thank you so much. How did you handle the Head Hunger Beast? I feel like I am getting better but let me tell you by day 3 that monster reared HER UGLY HEAD and I thought I was going to lose my mind.
  24. Hello All, I am new to this group, I am currently five days post op and I tell you this Head Hunger is a Beast!!!! But it is one I am going to beat. I have been keeping myself busy, I love reading and writing stories and poetry and this has helped tremendously. I am looking forward to supporting and receiving support from all of you. Congrats to you Delta on getting approved. I wish you much success on your journey.
