  1. I'm sure they are all drugged up sleeping it off. I'll try and track down the docs coordinator in the morning.
  2. I know, I'm just up in Washington. But we tried to call multiple times with no success. So I figured maybe they don't have a full staff in the evenings.
  3. Tried to call both the hospital and hotel. No one answered at either. Maybe it's to late tonight. We are going to try in the morning. Wish me luck.
  4. That's a good idea. I think she is at the hospital though, guess I should try and find that number. Thanks for thinking of that.
  5. Thanks, I haven't heard anything yet. I really hope everything is Ok down there. I trued to teach my mom how to use her WiFi on her new smart phone so she ciuld stay in touch, but I have a feeling she didn't understand what I was talking about lol got to love technology.

    Protein Bars?

    You can't beat quest bars.
  7. I'm at 4 months post op today, down 62lbs over all and 45 since surgery. I wish I was more motivated to get my butt exercising. But I'm very happy with my lose so far. Can't wait to see where I'm at in another 4 months.

    spoons and forks

I love using small utensil. It helps me feel like I'm eating a lot more than I am. It also seems to help me slow down. Sometimes my wife finishes her regular portions before I finish my mini portions. And I'm not even trying to eat slow.
  9. 4 months today Down a total of 62lbs, 45 post op, 17 in the 3 week pre op. Pretty happy with my lose. Need to get my butt in gear with working out and upping my water. 287 highest weight 270 S/W 2/19/14 225 C/W

    Why me?

Those numbers don't sound to bad to me. I was sleeved on Feb 19 at 270lbs and my current weight is 228.6lbs. Sound like I'm on the same track as you. Everyone looses at different rates. Keep plugging along, work your sleeve, it will come off in time.
  11. I've lost 58lbs and am just starting to run out of clothes I had packed away. So i haven't had to buy anything yet. I'm about 3 1/2 months post op. I don't really feel much smaller yet. No one started really noticing my loss until around the -53lb mark. I can tell I'm lighter but still feel big. Which I am lol I'm trying to be patient which is extremely hard, but I know I will keep losing. And can't wait to be under 200lbs. Oh and I also haven't gotten rid of any clothes but only because I plan on getting pregnant next year and figure I'm going to need some big clothes. I know, I know, that's what maternity clothes are for, well I'm pretty butch and wear men's clothes. Lol I would look like I was in drag in maternity clothes.

    Foodie question

I've had a couple bites here and there when my wife orders them. They went down fine. For me I just don't eat them because they take up to much space in my stomach, I always need the room for my protein.

    ladies only

I was on mine durning surgery. They had me wear this weird pair of underwear with a huge pad. Like what they give you after you give birth. You'll be fine. Good luck.

    Too full! NEED ADVICE!

I pretty much just measure everything. But if I am out to eat, I just really think about how fast I'm eating and try to talk in between bites.

    What is your favorite product?

Quest protein bars (all flavors) Premiere protein shakes (I drink the chocolate ones and use the vanilla in my decaf coffee)
  17. Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to try and cut my calories a little. Hopefully it will speed up the weight loss some.
  18. I'm a little over 3 months post op down 57lbs. I try to eat 900-1100 calories a day, at least 60 grams of protein and don't really pay attention to carbs, my surgoen didn't give me a calorie goal or carb goal just told me to get at least 60 grams of protein and 60oz of water, which I'm really bad about can barely get 40oz in.
  19. I totally get what you are saying. I also try to use the least amount of sugar free products as possible. That being said. I felt for the first few weeks I just had to let go of that thinking and just try to get in the nutrients as needed. It will just be for awhile then you can start going back to eating clean. I get sucked into using those stupid flavored water enhancers just to help get my water in. I hope to phase them out soon. Good look sorry I wasn't any help on a better way for liquid protein.
  20. Thanks a ton. I've been looking around here a little but can't seem to find them. Looks like I'll have to order them.

    Motivation.

How do you all stay motivated to work out? I find that I am always trying to find excuses to not go work out. I don't have a regular scedule so I can never plan things in advance. I do love building muscle from my workouts but that doesn't seem like enough to get me off my butt and go. Any advice??

    Motivation.

Thanks for your words of wisdom. I know I just need to get in the habbit. I have always been pretty active. Some years more than others. I have never experienced this high everyone talks about though. I love every sport and have played most, never been a runner, I get pretty bored when I try. I started Karate a couple months ago and can't believe what a workout it is and how much fun it is, yet I still find myself skipping class. I went Monday and Wednesday but didn't go tonight. Maybe I'm just in a funk. I've got a lot going on in my life right now (all good things) maybe the stress is just getting to me. I'll keep trying, can't wait to get below 200lbs. I also just found out I'm going to be a maid of honor in August so hopefully that will motivate me a little.
