    Any Sleevers With Pcos?

Hi I am 3 weeks out also wanting a baby! I have pcos. I've lost 22 lbs since surgery and the facial hair is still there! I got my period on the day of surgery and it lasted two weeks. I want to wait a year before trying. Good luck to you!

    Boyfriend Problems!

Hi Vixkey! When I was much younger I dated a guy who was no good for me! I felt sorry for him so I stayed with him until one day I decided to put my needs before his and I dumped him. It took some of my questionable family members to get him off my back (not recommending that btw) but eventually he was no longer part of my life. Things I have done since then... met the love of my life, earned a degree, bought a house, got my sleeve and I now live my life how I want to live it. I would have never done those things if I would have stayed in that toxic relationship. Stay strong and do you!
  5. I take b12 sublingual every morning. I wonder if I should upy dosage
  6. I am so glad you brought this up! A couple days ago I started getting a tingling sensation on my lower leg. I only get it once in a while. I was hopping it was not blood clot related. Can't wait to see what the more experienced sleevers have to say.

How Often Do You Have A Bm?

Since I started on puréed foods I have been having a bm every morning. I only eat 3 oz of some type of puréed meat 3xs a day. I have always been a healthy pooper but I was not expecting to get back to my regular schedule so soon.

    Hominy

I hear yah Dorrie. Thanks for your input. I'm only 3 weeks out and hominy is something I would love to eat but I don't want hurt m sleeve. I wish there wasn't so much contradiction about foods we eat! I know my surgeon/nut/case manager all said corn was no no for life!!
  9. Hi Init! I was taken off my merformin 1000mg 2xs a day and glipazide right after surgery. Every time I check my blood I am within normal range. Hopefully you will get off yours soon!
  10. Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you guys an update. I was sleeved on 6/18 and my weight was 246. My average before that was 255. First few days where very hard! By the end of the week was feeling great. Second week my head hunger was getting the best of me. I even cheated and ate 4 fries. I felt no restrictions and it did not make me sick. I was more ashamed of losing control than anything else. I have started WLS Group and I am hoping to start therapy to help with my food addiction. My incisions are hardly visible! They don't even have scabs on them anymore :s I never got nausea or vomited and have been able to eat whatever I put in my mouth. Well, 3 oz of it at least. Now am on pureed foods and that is going great. My favorite thing to eat is chicken breast from a can pureed with my husbands awesome salsa. For the 4th my family made me ribs in a crock pot so that the meat was tender. That was so good and satisfying. I continue to take all my Vitamins (Calcium 1500 mg a day, a multi, Iron, and b12 sub (all from Bariatric Advantage)) every day. I also take Carafate 4xs a day. I drink between 50-70 oz of Water every day. I know I am not dehydrated because my pee is light. Oh I also take something for acid reflex but not sure the name. I have no symptoms of acid rflx. I do not drink Protein drinks because my nut/case manger/surgeon said that it is not necessary but I am thinking I want to try some.. I have read a lot about Premier from costco, I think I will try those. SV (or scale victory): I now weigh 225 lbs NSV: I had to retire one ring finger because it fell off. My clothes are fitting too big My face is thinner and I no longer get sun glass imprints on my cheeks I don't think about food all day a lot energy My hubby cannot keep his hands off me... hehe! No longer take meds for diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol I can cross my legs when I sit My knees don't hurt when I sit down to use the bathroom (btw bm's are normal) My fears: tearing my sleeve not being successful at weight loss my food addiction What I am looking forward to: riding my bike... I want to do this so bad but I have not been cleared yet a new wardrobe running a marathon living longer going on a cruise and wearing short shorts! What I do to feel normal: I go to mc donalds every morning and order a decaf coffee I got to restaurants and stick to Soups If you guys have any questions, please ask! Thanks for reading. Veronica

    I Am Kind Of Ashamed

Thanks ladies! Well, I was feeling ashamed on Saturday when it happened. I was hopping that this post would drown where no one else would read it! hehe! Now I am ashamed for being ashamed! Geesh! Newlook, I truly TRULY need to stay away from burger and pizza joints! they are my weakness! I crave pizza like crazy but I know dough could be very bad for my brand new sleeve. Thanks for posting and appreciate your input. Noexcuses.. your name says it all! and I agree, I need to stay focus. It was a moment of weakness and I needed some type of input. Thanks! Pkehrer, it is no nice to relate to someone. I do not know anyone who has had WLS. I left my doc a mess about a food counselor, I hope to hear from her soon! My family is learning a long side with me. Just yesterday I had to tell my husband that he forgets that I had this surgery. Though he is highly supportive, he tends to say okay when i want to go out to eat, I really wish he would put his foot down and say NO! to me every once in while. I have to gain control too!
  14. I am two weeks post op and I decided to come camping. I took all the correct foods, such as yougurts, pudding, Jello etc. well I decided that I didn't want any of that so I went out to eat. First I had clam chowder and that was fine, I would just dip my spoon and lick off the residue. Second night was a mess, I had about 4 wheat thin crackers with my Soup then ate about 4 fries from hubbys plate!! I also had more soup than before. I totally feel fine but my fear is that I hurt myself without realizing as I dont feel any restriction. About three hours later I had 4 m&ms with t pretzel. I know I have control issues with food and i have to deal with it by going to support groups or even therapy! Did you guys have have control issues? If so how did you deal with it?

Minckle thanks for that suggestion I never heard of a food counselor. I am with kaiser so I will have to ask them if they have someone who specializes in food addictions. I greatly appreciate all suggestions and comments! :-)
