  1. Y dr recommended 600 but that just leaves me STARVED. So I bumped up to 800-1000 and I've been at a stand still for 4 days with my weight loss. I really am staying away from a lot of carbs but my dr also wants me to cut out all dairy. Is this right?

    Stomach Exercise?

    I would listen to your dr. But with that said, I went in for my 3 week post op apt today and even with an infected incision I was cleared to start weight training and have no exercise limitations.
  3. I was banded 4/27. Lost 14 pounds pre-op and have lost 11 pounds since the surgery. The past 2 days I have been sooooo hungry. I don't think I can take it anymore. Would it really be so awful if I bumped up my calories up to 1200 or at least started having small snacks of edamame, low fat cheese or whole grain saltines between meals? I need help.
  4. Thank you so much. I make sure to weigh all my meals so not to go over 4oz for each meal. I also got specialk protein water but that doesn't do a thing. I could defiantly roll up an oz of turkey for a snack and be ok.
  5. I'm looking for somebody who I can look to for support and maybe hold me responsible for what I eat everyday. I need to maybe be accountable to somebody. I was just banded on 4/27/2012 and although I am down 25 pounds, the hunger has finally returned. It's so hard. I'm so hungry and I don't go in for a fill until the 25th.

    Need A Buddy Please!

    That would be great! I have 2 small children and they eat well with no weight issues but all small kids love things like goldfish and pretzels. It's killing me not to have some. I don't have a fill for 9 more days and I'm starving.
  7. I've been meaning to post since I found out I was actually getting banded but just haven't. I'm so excited and ready to be healthy! I Personaly don't know anyone else who is banded and my drs office is an hour away. With a toddler and a baby there's no way Im Going to make those support groups. I hope you guys can help me help myself
  8. I was banded 4/27 and started my soups and purses on Friday. My hubby and toddler had red beans and rice for dinner. I put some of the beans into the food processor and had those for dinner but now I'm wondering if that's ok or if I messed up big time?!?!
  9. I got children's Tylenol and Motrin in liquid form. That way I didn't have to take the prescription pain meds if I had pain that wasn't terrible.
  10. I to did HCG pre-op and lost 45 pounds! Then I got prego and gained all that weight back within like 3 months and just kept gaining. My OB had me on a very restrictive diet to try and slow my weight gain but nothing worked. I ended up 20 pounds heavier than I was before I started HCG after I had the baby. You lose the weight but gain it right back. My hubby did it too with the same results. Lost 50 and gained 60! And my friend who introduced us in on the HCG roller coaster. She's loses 20 gains it back and then goes right back on it.
  11. My dr does 1 week liquids, 1 week soups and puréed foods, 1 week mushies, and then onto normal foods.
  12. I haven't joined any groups yet but really need to. My surgery day went smooth and my dr told me everything went better thn expected as I also had a hiatal hernia repaired at the same time. I'm healing pretty well so far but am getting hunger pains and still have the pain in my left shoulder though. Can't wait for that to be gone. But watching my weight go down 1/2 pound every day is totally worth it!
