Go for the sleeve! It has been easier for me since I had my band removed Monday and the sleeve done. Everyone at some point in their life will need the band removed. It was not meant to be left in anyone for life.Melissa
Why do people keep saying this?!?! It IS meant to stay in for life.

I thought I was overfilled after my last fill. It took me about two weeks to learn how to eat with PB'ing. I even have to take smaller sips of Water now' date=' but I don't have any problems keeping things down now. If you can take smaller sips and smaller bites chewing really, really well, and keep that down, you're probably okay.I wouldn't go right straight back to the doctor unless I couldn't keep liquids down even with small sips.[/quote']
I went back. I couldn't do sips of liquids w/o spitting it up. She took it all out to let what was stuck pass and then added back 6.2 out of the 6.6 i had in. I was then able to swallow water. Good thing is, i now am in the green zone. Yay!

It sounds like u are a tiny bit overfilled' date=' if u cannot drink Water or warm tea etc without sliming then u are over filled and need to get a small amount taken out, i suggest u go back to your lapband doctor asap and get a small unfill, it doesnt have to be all of the fill u had but u will become dehydrated otherwise .Did u eat after your fill or go on liquids for a day or 2 ? u might have made yourself swollen by sticking on food, but when u cant keep water down u have to do something so looks like its a trip back to the docs [/quote']
I went on liquids for 2 days. I figured, called them and they want me there asap. I'm. Just irritated since it is an hour away and i was just on that area today. Ugh.

I had my 3rd fill on Friday. I was doing fine or so I thought but I've gotten stuck every time pretty much since then. Even fluids. I haven't thrown up just the slimming and spitting up. Anything i can do at home to help ease it down? Or do you think I'm over filled?

i am about to start my fills next month.i have tricare prime.
how does tricare work/handle with fills?
is it still the reg copay?
if you get a fill under fluorsopy' date=' do you need prior approval?[/quote']
I've never had a copay. I'd call & ask tricare

Hi y'all. I had my 3rd fill on Friday. I think I am feeling constriction but I am unsure. So I'm wondering what does it feel like when you over eat? I know the stuck feeling it's happened 2x so does it feel like that or something else? My doctor said he doesn't want me to calorie count or Portion Control he wants me to "listen to my body". So, idk. I'm down 30 pounds and I'm 72 days post op. Is this on track or slow? Ugh I am at a loss.

All righty' date=' and this is precisely the reason I won't post on this site again. Have a nice day!![/quote']
I found nothing offensive in the response but to each their own.

I am 72 days post op and just had my 3rd fill today.

I've never had pain, just a poke. Wonder if it's the right place!

I understand you want to 'test' the waters.. but come on.. a small pizza? I wouldn't of allowed myself to eat that before the band. Regardless of how much you can eat, you should be eating healthier foods if you really want to test it, that is just irresponsible on your part. You need to do your part, with controlling your appetite and choices. Keep on this path and you will (if you haven't already) stretch your pouch or cause a slip.

Thanks I'll try - the smell of food even makes me gag :-(I would for sure give your doctor a call on Monday if it doesn't subside.

I had a bmi of 35 and hypertension. I was required to see my pcm every month for 6 months. I had no weight loss requirement and was approved very quickly after the 6months.

I havent been totally strict with the diet but in saying that I haven't been eating rubbish either.I guess today's pain could be from not eating :<
With post op you need to be careful. You're still healing on the inside. Try something hot to eat. Like a Soup, a thin one. It will loosen you up and at least for me it subsided the pain.

Hi there' date=' I'm after some advice.I am 23 days banded - no fill
Last night I woke up to a constant pain (4/10) in my somach, directly below my top scar (centre & about two inches from my ribs) I also started dry reaching/sweating but couldn't through up as I Hadnot eats for 6hrs.
The pain has been constantly there for 24hours now and I have hardly felt like eating today. (this morning when I tried it made my physically sick)
I am so scared that I have slipped the band but I don't even have fill in it yet. What do I do?
WHAT are Other causes of tummy pain?[/quote']
Have you been sticking to the post op diet? What did yoy wat that day tgat you haven't ate before? For me, when i didn't eat i got the worst pain in the same place you are talking about.

I was banded on April 24th and have lost 37 pounds. At least that's what my scale says! It doesn't feel like it though. :-/

I just peeked into the excercise and fitness section and noticed far less post than in the post op section. Most of us who had the band were not exactly what you call gym gurus before we were banded' date=' hence we gained weight which pushed us into morbid obesity! Im saying this in the most non judgmental way possible WE MUST EXERCISE! I know some have never even entered a gym, thats ok, there is still time to join, if not at least power walk/jog for 30 minutes a day. This post was as much for me as it is for those who are struggling with excercising! Good Luck and lets continue to encourage each other in this area![/quote']I have exercised since my teen years. My last pregnancy i gained 100 pounds (bed rest from 20 weeks up) no matter what i did I couldn't get it off. I work out 3-4 times a week. Maybe that's why I don't post. Just don't assume if there are little post we don't exercise.

well I see I am not alone on this one then. So how many purses in total do you think that you own and did that only start following the banding or were you into it before as well?
Nope strictly after banding. I'm not even a purse women lol. I've only been banded for a month so i think it has a lot to do with me mourning food in a way. I would talk to someone but I myself am a SA counselor. So seeing my work associates as therapist instead of 'friends' might be hard. Haha

How are all the 4/23 bandsters doing? I had my first fill Thursday. It wasn't bad at all. I wish I had known to warn the nurse to be gentle with jabbing her fingers into my port site. She seems to have gotten complacent and not realizing we are still healing. The stick itself didn't hurt. I already had 3.4 cc's in my band I wasn't aware of. They added 1 cc. I'm 2 pounds ahead of their plan for me.I have my first fill on June 5th. Recovery is going pretty well. When i workout i can feel my port and it makes me a bit nauseous. I'm down about 30 pounds. Well that's what the scale says. I don't feel like I've lost anything near that amount though. I guess i will see if my scale is accurate when i go for my follow up. Glad you're doing well! Woohoo for being ahead!

Seafood...

Eating shrimp right now! Lol. Only seafood I've had an issue with is tuna. I assume bc i cut back on the mayo so it's dryish. For me, seafood is 100% easier than chicken. I hate wet chicken (makes me gag with the popping when you chew.. *shivers*) so i eat it often.
