    Anyone Losing Hair?

OMG!! I have heard of these issues. I just got my hair back after losing it due to chemo. This is probably the only thing I fear about getting this done. Being bald again is not an option. I guess I will have to protein overload and say lots of prayers.

Any Breast Cancer Survivors Out Their?

Krolso, CONGRADULATIONS!!! 12 years cancer free I'm incouraged. I think we all fear it coming back. I'm kinda going through that now. In my opinion Do It. Heck with everything weve been through, this might not be that bad if we do as we are told.

Any Breast Cancer Survivors Out Their?

Wow Jachut what an ordeal!! I have to tell ya I lol about your mirror story. Bless your heart. what a terrible thing to go through. I think I have an idea how you felt. My daughter was diagnoised with crones like ulceritive colitious. I was so severe that she had to remove her colon removed and went through the iliostomy, skin and bones. They made a j-pouch out of her small intestines and it eventually got reversed. 14 years later she is a mother of 3 and getting doing pretty good. By the way I'm getting banded July 20th. So my journey is getting ready to begin. Any advise? Stephanie
  8. DO IT!!! I was your age when my weight got out of control and I have been up and down for 20 years. I'm getting banded 7/20/12 and so excided that this roller coaster ride is over. Don't be like me 20 years down the road and think why didn't I do this years ago. I'm new on this site and know I will have thousands of supporters and so will you!!
  9. Hello everyone!! Very excited to jump in the bandwagon will all of you. I will be getting banded on July 20th. I've been lurking in Lap Band Talk for a couple of months know and have gotten great information. My doctor and his staff have provided me with a lot of information. So with that and all of ya'lls experiences if I fail, I have no one to blame but myself. Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories!!

    Alone

How informed is he about WLS? I might suggest if he is willing, take him to support groups and give him as much information as you can for him to read. It's hard to be logical with someone who is closed minded. Bottom line this is your your health and your choice. I'm not sure how old you are, you look young. As a 55 year old women I have strugguled with my weight for years. It took a diagnosis of breast cancer to finally make get on the band wagon. The only thing getting our way for a healthy life is losing weight. Now body can understand this vicious cycle we go through unless they have been throught it themselves. My boyfriend has seen me go through cancer and he is also unsure of this procedure. The bottom line he is my boyfriend not my husband and he has no say so over my healthcare. I am now looking forward to be able to play and run with all 6 of my grandchildren all the ages of 5 and under. I am having my surgery 7/2/12. Good luck to you and hopefully your boyfriend will come around.
