  1. Is it a sharp pain? Is it constant? Is it only when you inhale?
  2. I had surgery 8/20. Over the first few days after surgery I had what I assumed was still the gas pain and surgical pains or whatever. I started to develop a rapid heart rate. I attributed it to dehydration. On the saturday after my surgery I started getting a pain when I took in a breath, and it got to the point where I couldnt take deep breaths only short shallow ones. It was only on one side at any given time, but had the ability to be either on right or left side. It hurt when I inhaled in my ribcage area on my backside, and radiated into that shoulder. Sharp stabbing pain. By Monday the 27th I couldn't stand it anymore. I went to the ER (even though I almost felt embarrassed out of fear that it would just be gas or something dumb) they did a CT of my chest and I have a blood clot in each lung. An additional CT of abdomen/pelvis showed two more, one in kidney one in splenic vein. PLEASE, If you have pain, go to at least an urgent care facility. It's not worth risking your precious life.
  3. Thanks for understanding, Gustavo. I'm so ready for it. So so so ready. I think "delerium" was just setting in today.
  4. I appreciate your understanding in the hastiness of my original post. I hate to admit it, but the post before yours actually got to me. I feel stupid for letting myself cry over something someone said that I don't even know, over the internet at that. I'm not a mean/rude/hateful person by any means. I love the people I work with, which is why I work with them. I know they weren't intentionally making me feel the way I did, it was my choice to feel that way...but the fact is, it happened. Anyway, again, thank you for being understanding. I appreciate your kind words. I'm doing my best and saying prayers.
  5. Well for one, I didn't have an attitude. They're never going to make me eat alone, guarantee you that...I didn't ask for people to demean me on here, I didn't start this topic to get lectured. YES, I know you have your opinions. I appreciate them. As I previously stated, I posted this originally because I was "upset in the moment". I haven't eaten in Five days. This is not normal for me. I'm an incredibly big ball of emotions right now, so please refrain from making me feel worse than I already do. I thought this forum was for support. I'm actually regretting posting this, because I'm tired of the negativity. Maybe I should just avoid this entire forum in its entirety. Have a wonderful evening everyone.
  6. Thanks for your replies everyone. I think I was just upset "in the moment"... But that moment has passed...and so has the work day. I'm home now. I have surgery on Monday, and after that....the rest is history. Best of luck to you all in whatever stage of WLS you're in. Toodles!
  7. If it were people I wasn't that close to I wouldn't have said a word, but I've known these girls for years. Anyway. What's done is done.. I'm back at my desk...and "all is well with the world" or whatever cheesy crap there is to say. Sorry, kind of bitter right now.
  8. There's only 3 other girls. I don't think it was rude. We're all good friends.
  9. Yeah I know I did leave. I'm just sitting here on my ass though. I could be in there working but I don't want to be bombarded by the smell. That's why I asked if they wouldn't mind eating in the other room. They're not working while they eat... I don't want to go for a walk because I live in Texas and its about 100000 degrees here and I feel weak anyway. Oh well. I just felt like I needed to vent a little. I know others don't conform their lives around me, but I also know what I was asking wasn't much.
  10. Im on day 5 of my pre op diet...i asked my coworkers if they wouldn't mind eating their lunch (delicious burgers and fries from this place around the corner) in another room instead of our little office. I assumed they would do it, we're all really good friends...so lunch just gets here, and they all just start chowing down at their desks. I just got up and said "I guess I'm the one that has to leave" was this too much to ask? Am I overreacting? Ugh. I'm STARVING and I just found it incredibly insensitive. *sigh* at least surgery is on Monday. Then I'll be out of work until the day after labor day. Wooooo-sa.
  11. Prayers for you with all you're struggling with. I hope you find peace soon! Bless you.
  12. Mine is doing the same thing! Driving me absolutely nuts! ha
  13. Eh, I felt like its what I wanted to do... So I did it. I was saying goodbye to the way I used to eat and wouldn't take it back for anything. I wont see a solid piece of food for weeks so I think it was justifiable.
  14. That's silly that you can't have any RTD ones... Right now I'd have no problem guzzling my shake within 20 minutes because I'm freakin hungry!
