Feeling much better since getting home. I'm in control of my medication and can actually get some rest. And I'm sipping' date=' sipping, sipping Crystal Light flavored water. It's still slow going but I'm doing the best I can do![/quote']
When I first got home, my Water had to be room temperature. Cold water made my stomach spasm.
Glad you are feeling better. Keep sipping!

"You don't have to say you love me" by Sarra Manning is a good one. I picked it up after reading an article about the authors own weight loss and how it affected her.I tried to download this from Amazon, said it wasn't available for customers from US.

Maybe TMI but for the first time since surgery I wish I would puke. I had taco salad (just the meat' date=' cheese and some tomato) and it went down too well. I think I ate too fast and too much. How long will this yuck feeling last?Lessen learned omg.[/quote']
When I do this, it'll take 30-45 minutes to get better. I'm getting better at stopping with the initial "getting full" feeling. I also eat some Tums.
It will pass

Wow!! I just signed on to ask about coffee because my NUT said it was not allowed and I quit pre-op. But now it's Fall and the Fall blends with spices are so attractive!! I bought the pumpkin Spice blend at Trader Joes and it tastes wonderful with Splenda and a splash of skim milk' date=' and felt like I was committing a mortal sin by drinking it!! Now I've read all your posts, I feel better. Try this coffee, it's wonderful. (I will use in moderation, as I know nothing in excess is good for me or anyone)[/quote']I just ordered some of this. I hope it's good!

Thought I'd revive this thread.
So far, I'm down 67lbs since surgery on 06/12. However I'm in a stall. Been fluctuating between 210 and 209 for two weeks.
So very frustrating

I cook one recipe a week from the Emily Bites website. I hold out what will be a weeks worth of food for me, and freeze the rest. Freezing extras has come in handy when I don't feel like cooking.

I took out a loan with my credit union. I'll be paying it back for the next 4 years

I just got over something like that. I thought it was a stomach virus but test revealed it was intestinal parasite. I had to go to hospital to get fluids from dehydration. Take care of yourself.

Do You Still Look Forward To Food Or Enjoy It?
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Posted
I do not look forward to or enjoy food any longer. What I do enjoy is participating in physical activities that I could not do 4 months ago. Oh and I enjoy shopping. Lol. I also am on an eating schedule to remind myself to eat. My world doesn't revolve around food anymore. I'm enjoying this new life a lot
