  1. Did you have a hernia repair? I have a bit of that feeling, perhaps not at the same level you are having and I think it's either from the hernia repair or I also think gas builds over night and that contributes??? Hope you feel better soon
  2. Your daily menu doesn't really have any sweets in it... So it would seem that you have more controll than you think. I don't have the answers but I can make a suggestion... When I was on Weight Watchers I tracked everything including BLT's (bites, licks and tastes). Every food that crossed my lips was written down, maybe if you do that for a week you may see some hidden calories you are eating and not counting which is hindering your success. Please don't give up, you can turn this around and have others being jealous of you!!! You can and you will!!!'
  3. I think you will be fine. You will probably sleep most of the way. A pillow on your lap so the seat belt won't hurt is important and get out and walk at least once, twice if you can. I was banded last Tuesday stayed 1 night and left at noon the next day. I live 30 min from and like I said... I slept. They also gave me a good dose of pain med and anti nausea right before I left. Good luck' I'm sure whatever you decide will work out.
  4. Eetween purée and mushy... They seem the same... Are they?
  5. Forgot up at top with WL meds is the number and type of weight loss programs tried on your own.. Ie, WW, Jenny Craig, slim fast etc....
  6. Make sure you include the WW but also ask your surgeons office if they have any forms that could be sent to your pcp to fill out about each of your visits. This same thing happened to me. I feel the WW helped, I also wrote a personal letter and copied pictures from an overweight child to the present. The form my surgeon sent to the PCP had the following: Visit date Month ___ of 6 Name DOB Weight Height BP, pulse, temp, glucose if diabetic Weight loss meds tried in past Weight loss meds not appropriate due to Obesity related co-mobidities Current medications Diet education discussed Exercise/activity discussed Behavior modification goals set with patient Return visit scheduled for Signature , date My PCP filled this out after my 6 months because the insurance company called my surgeon and said if they didn't get better PCP documentation they would deny it, took 24 hours to get this paper work back to them and 2 hours later I got my approval Good Luck! It will happen!
  7. So true!!! If HE brings you to it, HE will bring you through it! Prayers said for you this morning!
  8. Stayed with my Protein shakes!!! So proud of me. The thing is I'm not really hungry... It's just been so long since I've had any real food and it smells good... I think I've got this under control. Prayed a lot and realize I don't want to hurt myself!
  9. Thanks.. I was on the fence but I'm sure I shouldn't after really thinking it through! I love being able to come here and get so much support... Sincere Thanks!
  10. My doc said 2 weeks... He did ask what type of pool we had (it's a salt pool) so not sure if that made a difference?
  11. I am so appreciative of so many of my friends bringing meals for my family! They are all great cooks but dang it makes it hard to not want to sample!! Tonight they are having French dip sandwiches, an amazing looking cole slaw with almonds, mandarins and grapes and big ol pan of brownies... Since I can have soup I'm thinking about blending the beef with the broth and trying some... I'm 3 days post op... Think that's ok?
  12. You are doing great!!! I have you in my prayers everyday... Seems like you are rocking with the pre-op! Not much longer... And even though you will be a little sore it is so easy after surgery.. You won't even think about food!
  13. How are you feeling today? Pain is a lot better for me, still some gas discomfort. I'm having trouble knowing if I'm hungry or having gas pains. Hoping to get more Protein in today. Keeping you in my thoughts!
  14. Checking in with my plication buddies. I had surgery on 5/29 and feeling much better today. Soreness is going away but I'm still super tired. How is everyone else doing? I know I am ready to stop drinking all my food!
  15. Walk, gas strips and warm mint tea... I have had very little problems after doing that every few hours.. Try and keep ahead of it and the pain. You will be amazed how much better you will feel tomorrow. Glad things went well!
  16. Divine yumminess!!! Can't wait to make these!!!
  17. Does it need a subscription like body bugg?
  18. I just checked and since I've already purchased one I can refer... You get $20 off (which makes it $80 and includes shipping) and I get $20 gift certificate) I'll post the link but in no way am I trying to get a referral or asking anyone to order... But $20 off makes it a great deal! I wanted to share a great product that I thought you would be interested in. It's called the bodybugg system! You wear this device on your arm and it keeps track of the daily calories you take in vs. burn off. And you'll receive a $20 discount with my referral. But you have to use this link for the discount to apply. Check it out! I think I have to email it... If anyone is interested just msg me your email address.
