  1. It tracks all the calories you burn... Exercise and just daily living. You then I put what you eat and it helps you make sure you are always burning more than you consume. I wanted one before but they were much more expensive. I just ordered ine for my hubby for Fathers Day, he asked for one because he works out a lot. Now that they are only $100 I'm thinking about getting one also... Just not sure how much I will need it? You can check them out at Myapex.com
  2. Anyone use a Body Bugg to help with your band journey? I'm on the fence in ordering one? Any advice?
  3. I was banded on 29th.. Feeling ok.. Still sleepy but also still taking pain meds. Pain is very tolerable as long as I keep taking the meds every 4 hours. Gas isn't too bad, really think drinking mint tea has helped that. I'm surprised that liquid is going down so easily... How bout all if you?
  4. Congrats!!! Just banded 2 days ago and now you are my inspiration!!!! Thank you!!!
  5. Prayers and hugs sent to you!!!
  6. Can't wait to check it out!!
  7. I am a non typical stereo type! I was my husbands bar tender ( I was in college, he had revently graduated college) and who knew that we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in July!!! More in love than ever. Just remember he could be anywhere , but I do have several friends who found their (2nd) spouses through match and eharmony! Good luck, your prince awaits you!
  8. Prayers sent Love! You will do great! You have a talented surgical team to trust in! I am 2 days post op. and just want to say the first 12 hours for me were the worst and magically everything starts feeling better! So just take advantage of the down time and post when you are able to tell us how great it went!
  9. I had to do 5 days of liquids, my dic shortens the time because he said he gets better compliancy. He gave me pictures of my surgery and I have to say that my liver looked very thin!!! LOL... I told him after that diet I better have a skinny liver! Good luck.. Here's to hoping for a short pre-op diet!!!
  10. Just had my surgery 2 days ago and was told not to eat and drink at the same time, not due to any danger but due to keeping a more restrictive full feeling. My dr said that drinking while eating will increase the amount of food you can take in, therefore "cheating" the band and making it a less effective tool. He did mention that all the newest research is similar to OP.
  11. Welcome! So much info and support here, it's been a great lifeline on this journey! Congrats on your decision.
  12. Good luck! Mine was yesterday, just got home. I'm feeling good, a little sore and tired. I walked every couple hours and am not having too much gas pain! You are on your way! Prayers and hugs for you! Post how you are feeling when you can

  16. Came through with flying colors ! Doc even took some photos and gave me of my band... Very cool! I have been nauseated all day. Have a patch, zofran and phenigran, feeling much better. Think it was from anesthesia it really kicks my butt! Slept most of the day and sore tonight but only when I move... LOL! Hope tan and everyone did great... So sleepy right now...dozing off now. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes !,
  17. Good luck btan! I'm getting checked in right now.. Let me know and I'll let you know... I swear we made it through the pre op... We can do anything'
  18. Super YAY!! I really think that was hard... I feel Like after that I can do anything... Waiting to get checked in right now!! Keep going Carolina, you are almost there! You will do this, hope you have a great day!
  19. Well I am packed and ready. Having another popsicle before bed. I am not nervous, but waiting for it to hit me. Please say an extra prayer for me and my fellow surgery buddies tomorrow! Hope the others that are going in tomorrow have a very easy, complication free procedure. Can't wait to hear from you all! Good Luck!
  20. This may fall under TMI... But this all liquid pre op diet has made me constipated... I'm not quite sure how that happens... Having 3-4 premier protein shakes a day, 16 oz broth and some Jello.. At a hotel at the beach so haven't had any Popsicles. Surgery is tomorrow morning and wondering if I should take something to get this under control before anesthesia and pain meds make it worse?? Any thoughts?
