  1. My doctor requires all those things before surgery even if you have no symptoms and whether you have insurance or not, better safe then sorry.
  2. Only a few more days until our surgery.. I'm starving to! And craving mac and cheese, and a chipotle burrito. Gah.
  3. I cheated today and had a couple bread sticks.. I'm on a thousand calorie diet thena couple days of a liquid diet.. that deff set me over my thousand calorie limit.. and now I'm worried that it will effect my liver shrinkage. :/
  4. Ahh gotchya, our surgen and nutritionest work close together. So i mean for me personally i will still go ahead and use the body fortress because it was recommended by them, and I've already bought some and don't want them to go to waist especially since i cannot afford to buy any other kinds. But i will deffinately be asking my ssergeon and nutritionalist about it to see what they have to say. Thanks for bringing that up though, because i had never heard about that.

  7. I have my first endoscopy tomorrow and I'm nervous. I've never had to be sadated or really had any operations done. What can i expect? I can't get over how nervous i am.
  8. I have bcbs and as long as your bmi is 40 or more with comorbities you qualify. You have to have six months of noted weight loss attempt with the doc though. But if your bmi is 50 or greter they will wave that.

  11. I'll have to be drinking up to 70 grams off protein a day from protein mixes for at least two to three months. You guys got any reviews on some good ones that won't break the bank.
  12. What did you all buy for post op? From food containers to protiens. I'm going to start making my list soon.
  13. I'm having surgery may 24 th, they said to start picking up smaller sizes when we see a good deal. I'm a size twenty two right now, i bought a size sixteen pants. Even though i know i will reach sixteen and pretty fast, i also feel like i shouldn't have gotten them because I'll never be that small... if that makes sense lol. So how about you guys, what sizes did you start out at and how fast did you drop?
  14. My surgery is May 14 th. I haven't yet started to clean out my closit, but today i was at a second hand shop and found a really cute shirt and pants about three sizes down. Can't wait to wear them.
  15. Im terrified. Almost to the point of crying. My surgery is May fourteenth and I've never had surgery before. Feeling extreemly nervous, have lots of anxiety and everything. Almost feel like I'm going to chicken out.
  16. Hey guys, i am new here. I will be having my surgery on 5/14 if all goes to plan. I needed some support and information so i have been on this site alot on my phone. Anywhoo, I have my pre surgical class today. I will learn all about our pre op diet and post op, get list to go grocery shopping with, find out when and how to exercise and all that fun stuff. 20 days to go.. and my nerves are REALLY getting the best of me. I have never had a surgery before. I am TERRIFIED! =(
