I think I am back to "normal" but my normal includes exercise. I don't get very hungry anymore. My surgery was March 2012. I have lost about 42 pounds. I want to loose about 20 more pounds..there are foods I no longer eat, nor do I want to eat..my normal is working for me. I don't want to be the fat girl again.

As a new skinny girl I won't miss wearing a size 16. I exercise, I wear little summer dresses, and I Love it.....

We all have had those days. I swear it gets better. One day you will wake up smiling and not feeling like crap. I know this because it happened to me. It takes time to figure it all out, but you will. Give yourself a break and start to enjoy the process.

Any surgery is scary, I was so scared that I would die, but guess what I survived and you will to. Best of luck. Say a prayer and relax. This surgery changed my life and it will change yours as well.

I did not realize how much weight I gained until I had surgery and started losing weight.

Just checking in. I had my surgery March 27th 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Long Island. Dr. Garber is my surgeon. I am so happy even though it was rough in the begining. I would do it again.

Hi' date=' I'm only 6 days post-op, but am already thinking I may have made a mistake. I don't want to live a life of deprivation. food is around us at every occasion, am I just to sit there and eat nothing all the time? I'm so confused as to what my future will look like in regards to food/eating..,,[/quote']
It gets better. What the surgery does is teach us how to make better food choices.

I took off 3 weeks. I needed every bit of it. You really have to get use to eating again because it is so different after surgery.

I agree with listening to pre -op recommendations they give you in the class at Meecy Hospital they are very helpful. I had my surgery in March and I feel great . I would do it again....
