  11. Hello fellow sleevers I had my one month post-op visit today and I did not gain but I also didn't lose any more weight over the past two weeks. I found out some interesting information out... The nurse and NUT said that I am just coming out of what they call the dreaded week 3 and 4 stall. They said most patients do the same thing and going forward this should no longer be an issue... Wondered if some of the newest sleevers were aware of this and wanted to share the info!!! Happy losing

  14. Skoehn Hello and I will be a month out on tomorrow. What you are feeling is completely normal. This lifestyle is hard to get use to post-op but I know you will be fine. Just remember you have to take it one day at a time. It gets easier with time and keep reminding yourself that it takes time. Be patient follow the rules and work thru your emotions because I would always eat my emotions away. With the sleeve I can no longer do that so I have decided to go back to school!!! Trust me it will get better

    Saddling Up!

About your girls hair... I am 40 years old and I still remember my dad trying to do my hair when my mom was in the hospital....it was awful! Lol make sure he can brush it or you do it in a style the can keep for a week at a time so he won't have to give them awful memories like I have now some 30 years later! Lol he really did try tho....

    Saddling Up!

I am doing fine overall but learning to live with the sleeve is much more difficult than I thought it would be! Just remember to sip sip and sip... About your bag: make sure you take an extension cord for your cellphone, slippers, gas-x strips Chapstick and dry mouth spray.. Those were all lifesavers for me

    Consultation

Good luck on your journey and like yourself I started out thinking I wanted the Lapband! I am now 20 days post-op and glad I decided to go with the sleeve. My surgeon did not require opti-fast I just had to take protein shakes of my choice. However I heard that the opti-fast shakes were filling but expensive

    Saddling Up!

Hello Highschoolfigure, We have a lot in common-I lost a brother to cancer in 2001 and my mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2001. That was the hardiest year of my life and all I did was eat thru my emotions..... You are stronger than you think and so is your mom! I will be sending prayers up now for you your mom and your husband and kids! I am 20 days post op and I can tell you it is not easy but this journey is soooo going to be worth it. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Also I took a month off and will go back next week. I have enjoyed spending my recovery time with my parents. Try to spend sometime with your mom while you are off...
