    How Do You Feel?

I'm not feeling so good today, I was sleeved on Monday so this is my 4th day out and my first full day at home. I tried to do a little walking on my treadmill which went ok but was super boring going 1mph I tried eating some apple sauce so I could take one of my meds but I threw up a little. Besides that I have a lot of pain in my shoulders from the gas. Tomorrow will be a better day.

    Two Days Post Op

We are having similar experiences I am also in the hospital hoping to be released this afternoon. I am feeling a little better now because I just got back from taking a walk to try to release some of the gas pain. My itching has subsided for the most part and I can't wait to go home. Hope you feel better.
  5. As I reflect on the past few months I really believe this was the best choice for me. I am checked in at the hospital and changed and I know by the grace of God everything will be fine. I wish everyone being sleeved today a safe surgery and speedy recovery. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

    Today Is The Big Day...

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers everything went well so far I am waiting to see the sergon for a official update. I am not in too much pain but I a extremely tired, I can barley stay awake long enough to type this message.
  7. I am trying to figure out how many days I will need to take off from work to recover from the surgery. I don't do any lifting at work but I do have to drive about an hour each way and interact with several customers throughout the day. How much time did you take off? How did you feel when you returned? I hear many people say that they have very low energy and are too tired to make it through the day. Any recommendations
  8. My surgery is scheduled for June 25th and I am super excited...I'm just not sure what to pack for the hospital, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  11. I also work in a very unsupportive setting and will not be telling anyone. I am scheduled for 6/25 and I am just taking vacation. I have been on the liquid diet for the past two weeks and will continue after surgery. I plan to tell everyone I am on the same liquid diet that Chaka chan is on lol

    Pre-Op Blues Forum!

Don't get discouraged when I started the program I weighed 238 after meeting with the nut and following her diet I actually gained 5lbs and decided to start the liquid diet. Since then I have lost 7lbs. I recommend starting the liquid diet even if not ever day do it 3x a week and you should definitely add some physical activity into your daily routine...good luck!

How Long Do I Need To Take Off From Work?

When I gave birth to my son via csection I was up and about after about 5-6 days so I am guessing the recovery will be similar. I don't want to take off more time then I need because I am using vacation days not sick days since I am not telling anyone at work about my surgery. Has anyone had a csection how do the recovery times compare?
  17. Hello All, I am pre opt and my medical team has been encouraging me to workout/walk at least 4 hours per week. For some reason I just can't seem to get the drive/energy or desire to do anything. I read everywhere about how important it is to start a workout plan before surgery but my mind just won't do it. I have a treadmill and a stationary bike at home but rarely use them. Any suggestions or advice on what I can do to get going? Did anyone not workout before surgery and start after surgery? I think part of the problem is my lack of time I work 5 days a week 12 hours a day and I am a single mom with a 3 year old
