FluffyDiva345 reacted to Looking Ahead in My Boyfriend Left Me
You have the support of this group. You ARE NOT alone. Vent on here as many times as you need to. You are worth so much girl. Not only to your son but to your family. Focus on getting better for now. Put your relationship on the back burner for a little while. Easier said than done - I know. I was a divorced mother of two. Having men come in and out of your life is stressful when you have kids. I have learned they need that one constant- You. And You are still there. He will be ok. I am a Christian and not sure of your religion but I beleive in my God and will be praying for you sweetie. You will make it through this. You are so worth so much! You do have people that care. Hang in there. Cant wait to read your success story. Hugs!!!!!

I know it must be awfully hard to hear the negative comments about him but that is exactly what is needed. I may be wrong but it seems you love him more than he ever loved you. As overweight women we always seem to lack self esteem and therefore settle for less than we deserve. We somehow consider ourselves fortunate when someone show us a bit of attention. At 266 lbs and 5' 3" I know I have been there. I have allowed men to treat me like crap and settled for way less than I deserved. 3 years ago I put an end to all that. I woke up one morning and decided I was going to love myself! All 200 plus pounds!!!! I have never looked back! I focused on my happiness and the happiness of my daughter. I realized my happiness depended on me and not someone else. Please pick yourself up out of that bed or depression will consume you. Do not give him the power to ruin your happiness. I have been exactly where you are and it felt as if my life was over, but I had my daughter to think about. How selfish would I have been to give up on her because of a man? You can do this!! I did! I am a survivor never more to be a victim. Wishing you all the best and try to remember that you are most important! Take care of you so that you can give your son the beatiful vibrant Mom he deserves to have*hugs*

OMG. I think you just need to calm down and relax. I haven't had the surgery yet so idk about the pain your experiencing. But, you definitely need to relax and just think about recovering from the surgery. Don't worry about your husband and whether or not he's cheating on you right now. If he is cheating, time will tell! You should definitely be mindful of those friends/family members whom have supported you throughout this time frame. Lean on them for support. I'm sure you will be fine. Stay positive & keep taking those pain meds !

So many things you said sounded so much like my life. I always put up a front of confidence but deep down I am not truly happy. I had my consult on April 12th and start my pre-op testing on 25th May. I am ready to "live" I have missed out too much because of my weight. I know I have made the right decision

FluffyDiva345 reacted to SleeveDreamer in My Nsv From My Doctor!
Today I went to my doctor for my monthly follow up. He walked in and said "Hey skinny!' Then he said i have lost 9 pounds since my last appt. last month and my % of body fat has gone from 52% to 36%. He asked me how many pant sizes I have gone down and I said from an 18 to an 8, and he said well don't by anymore 8's because you will be in a 6 soon! He said that I only have 11 more pounds to go until I am at his goal for me. Then he told me that I have lost more weight each month than any other of his sleeve patients monthly follow ups! Boy did I feel good when I left there, so I stopped on the way home and went clothes shopping! (But no pants just tops). LOL!

FluffyDiva345 reacted to NancyJerry in Where Do I Start?
Hi Robin! And good for you to be making the plans and jumping through the hoops to get your Sleeve. It is a life changing event and the time will pass more quickly than you think. How to get started.....maybe slowly. Do you watch tv? Get up at EVERY commercial and walk in place. Set a timer to walk outside for 5 or 10 minutes every couple of hours. Sometimes baby steps are really just baby steps. I loved, loved, loved food. My pre-op diet was not as strict as a lot of the ones I see posted here and it made me feel so good. All I had to do was cut out sugar and carbs. Everything else was unlimited. meats and most veggies plus added 50 additional grams of Protein per day. I lost more weight doing that than I've lost in the past 2 weeks; and I didn't feel deprived. Just some suggestions. I know you'll do it if it's what you want in your mind, body and soul. P.S. - Don't lay around with a cold (that's how colds turn into bronchitis and pneumonia) get outside and walk around. Your lungs will thank you!
Good luck, we're here for you!
