Hey tippy and mb, I'm April 10th too. I go for the pre- op testing on Tuesday and start the pre- op diet Wed. My diet is the liquid protein, broth, jello and Popsicles. I'm dreading those 2 weeks! Good luck to us all!

So, tonight was the last fancy dinner that my husband and I will be able to do before my pre- op diet begins on Wednesday. Nice wine... Nice dinner.... Nice dessert! I know that I will be able to eat again in moderation but this has been a big part of our entertainment. We are going to need to find other ways to have fun and enjoy life! I got very teary eyed tonight when I told my husband that everything was going to be fine and there was nothing for him to worry about! I reminded him that no matter what happened to always know that I was doing this for me and my health! My Mother died at 64 and my father at 66. Both were overweight and had high blood pressure! I need to change this path that I'm on! Can't wait for my new life to begin.......Healthy! Thanks for listening!

Traveling to Paris- dream of a lifetime for me! My husband and I were with friends- another couple. Our friends wanted to go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe...... 284 stairs. I am the youngest of the 4 and the only one over-weight. I thought that I was going to pass out. My husband stopped many, many times with me on our way up. I was so embarrassed and mad at myself! We got home from the trip and I went to the first seminar that week!

Hey Yoli, I understand how you are feeling. My surgery is in April too. I absolutely LOVE good food! I had success with Adkins like you mentioned but I too gained the weight back. I believe the Sleeve will be the tool that we need to be successful. As long as we are eating our protein first, we won't have much room for all those carb things that get us in trouble! We can do this!
