Hello. I started my liquid diet yesterday too. It is awful . I even threw up some of my shake ewwww!! I never throw up it felt horrible. It's day 2 for me too. I also have surgery may 9th. We should be buddies? What are you gonna drink for your diet?

I started my pre op diet today. I'm hungry ugh!!!!! But it's for our new life to begin.

Teri and Melinda, You girls are awesome all ur input means the world to me. I had my second shake today. A lot of water I'm drinking and had sugar free jello. So almost done with the first day ugh!!!! Getting excited for the 2 weeks from now!

Thanks sabrina. Let's see how it goes I took my 2nd shake now and I'm drinking alot of water and had my snack of sugar free jello.

Hi Melinda, thanks I have to be like in a shake/liquid diet for 2 weeks. It's gonna be difficult but I have to be strong. 5 shakes a day plus no calorie liquids. That's my nutritionist said so my body won't be in shock afterwards. So basically like 800 calories . Thanks for your email I'll email u if any more questions.

Tomorrow is my first day of my pre-op diet. Wish me luck! I hope I don't fail.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.. But this comment is very inappropriate. Especially someone who is already nervous about surgery. Maybe get doc wasn't a good doc. Don't know your reasons but this was not a good comment.

I totally agree with you. Omg! I read and read and read, and still feel like I'm going to fail. But I've read good and bad but u have to listen to your heart and body. The mind is tricky but think strong. Today my hubby bought McDonald's for Breakfast. I smelled it smelled so good. All I got was a snack size parfait to eat for a snack later today, but I'm trying to control it now before my pre-op next week. Good luck to u! Keep us posted. Two years of reading should guide u on your journey for Monday!

Congrats pretty in ink, Hope my goes as smooth I'm on 5/9. Someone said if you had kids it should be a piece of cake. Well I hope so! Lol Let us know how ur doing speedy recovery to u

Have any of you had problems being on your tummy? And what about massages, I love massages and hope it doesn't affect my tummy. Please lmk thanks

Kami, Hi thanks so you feel good? How long have you had your surgery or did you just get it? I'm thinking I might do this surgery then. I still have till 5/9 to decide. Ahhhhhhh nervous!

Hi Teri yes I did. Thanks. When u said u were in and out in 4 hours. Did you mean surgery time or going for surgery and out? My doc say its an additional 30 min for the plication.

Have you heard of the lap band and gastric plication. Ask your surgeon! There's a thread about it here on the forums. The plication is when they fold ur stomach and use stitches and then they do the lap band too. I'm thinking if I should do that or just the band. I need to recover quickly I have kids to take care of.

Hi ladies. I've read all these pages of comments and this was the thread I was looking for. Need some input please, please. I was looking into getting the lap band all these months and when I went to my doctor he recommended for me to get the iband. I'm really scared and I have 3 kids to take care of. I need to recover as much as I can. So I'm still deciding what to do. My surgeon won't charge me if I decide on the plication. My surgery is on may 9th so I need to decide quick. Please help??? Oh yeah I want to know if you lose ur hair? I have thin hair already and I don't want to lose it. I'm from California I'm hoping someone is from here too....

I feel that's gonna be hard. But I'm so happy I see a lot of you wonderful women being strong. Makes me motivated. I'm going in on may 9th....

Hi buffalogyrl, I have the same surgery date as you. Sounds like u have a lot on your plate. I have been thinking about the surgery last couple months and I still don't feel ready so I think we will never be ready till we are there. Good luck on your we should be friends since we will have the same date of surgery will like to know how u feel afterwards.
